Ideals in envelo** algebras of affine Kac-Moody algebras
Abstract: Let $L$ be an affine Kac-Moody algebra, with central element $c$, and let $λ\in \mathbb C$. We study two-sided ideals in the central quotient $U_λ(L):= U(L)/(c-λ)$ of the universal envelo** algebra of $L$, and prove: Theorem 1. If $λ\neq 0$ then $U_λ(L)$ is simple. Theorem 2. The algebra $U_0(L)$ has just-infinite growth, in the sense that any proper quotient has polynomial growth. As an i… ▽ More

Tensor Representations for the Drinfeld Double of the Taft Algebra
Abstract: Over an algebraically closed field $\mathbb k$ of characteristic zero, the Drinfeld double $D_n$ of the Taft algebra that is defined using a primitive $n$th root of unity $q \in \mathbb k$ for $n \geq 2$ is a quasitriangular Hopf algebra. Kauffman and Radford have shown that $D_n$ has a ribbon element if and only if $n$ is odd, and the ribbon element is unique; however there has been no explicit d… ▽ More

Comments: 27 pages, to appear in Journal of Algebra. By the referee's suggestions, starting Section 4, we shorten the paper and generalize the main results to hold for any integer $n \geq 2$. The old Sections 5 and 6 are now combined in Section 5, removing the diagrammatic arguments and extending the results to any two-dimensional simple $D_n$-module

McKay Matrices for Finite-dimensional Hopf Algebras
Abstract: For a finite-dimensional Hopf algebra $A$, the McKay matrix $M_V$ of an $A$-module $V$ encodes the relations for tensoring the simple $A$-modules with $V$. We prove results about the eigenvalues and the right and left (generalized) eigenvectors of $M_V$ by relating them to characters. We show how the projective McKay matrix $Q_V$ obtained by tensoring the projective indecomposable modules of $A$ w… ▽ More

Macdonald Polynomials and level two Demazure modules for affine $\mathfrak{sl}_{n+1}$
Abstract: We define a family of symmetric polynomials $G_{ν,λ}(z_1,\cdots, z_{n+1},q)$ indexed by a pair of dominant integral weights. The polynomial $G_{ν,0}(z,q)$ is the specialized Macdonald polynomial and we prove that $G_{0,λ}(z,q)$ is the graded character of a level two Demazure module associated to the affine Lie algebra $\widehat{\mathfrak{sl}}_{n+1}$. Under suitable conditions on $(ν,λ)$ (which inc… ▽ More

Existence of Kirillov--Reshetikhin crystals for multiplicity free nodes
Abstract: We show that the Kirillov--Reshetikhin crystal $B^{r,s}$ exists when $r$ is a node such that the Kirillov--Reshetikhin module $W^{r,s}$ has a multiplicity free classical decomposition.

Kirillov-Reshetikhin crystals $B^{7,s}$ for type $E_7^{(1)}$
Abstract: We construct a combinatorial crystal structure on the Kirillov-Reshetikhin crystal $B^{7,s}$ in type $E_7^{(1)}$, where $7$ is the unique node in the orbit of $0$ in the affine Dynkin diagram. We then describe the combinatorial $R$-matrix $R \colon B^{7,s} \otimes B^{7,s'} \to B^{7,s'} \otimes B^{7,s}$.

A combinatorial formula for graded multiplicities in excellent filtrations
Abstract: A filtration of a representation whose successive quotients are isomorphic to Demazure modules is called an excellent filtration. In this paper we study graded multiplicities in excellent filtrations of fusion products for the current algebra $\mathfrak{sl}_2[t]$. We give a combinatorial formula for the polynomials encoding these multiplicities in terms of two dimensional lattice paths. Corollarie… ▽ More

Demazure flags, $q$--Fibonacci polynomials and hypergeometric series
Abstract: We study a family of finite--dimensional representations of the hyperspecial parabolic subalgebra of the twisted affine Lie algebra of type $\tt A_2^{(2)}$. We prove that these modules admit a decreasing filtration whose sections are isomorphic to stable Demazure modules in an integrable highest weight module of sufficiently large level. In particular, we show that any stable level $m'$ Demazure m… ▽ More

Demazure Flags, Chebyshev polynomials, Partial and Mock theta functions
Abstract: We study the level $m$--Demazure flag of a level $\ell$--Demazure module for $\frak{sl}_2[t]$. We define the generating series $A_n^{\ell \rightarrow m}(x,q)$ which encodes the $q$--multiplicity of the level $m$ Demazure module of weight $n$. We establish two recursive formulae for these functions. We show that the specialization to $q=1$ is a rational function involving the Chebyshev polynomials.… ▽ More

On the flow and thermal characteristics of high Reynolds numbers (2800-17000) dye cell: simulation and experiment
Abstract: This paper presents computational and experimental studies on wavelength/frequency fluctuation characteristics of high pulse repetition rate (PRR: 18 kHz) dye laser pumped by frequency doubled Nd:YAG laser (532 nm). The temperature gradient in the dye solution is found to be responsible for wavelength fluctuations of the dye laser at low flow rates (2800<Red<5600). The turbulence Reynolds number (… ▽ More

Minuscule Schubert varieties: Poset polytopes, PBW-degenerated Demazure modules, and Kogan faces

We identify the order polytope as a maximal Kogan face in a Gelfand-Tsetlin polytope of a multiple of a fundamental weight. We show that the character of such a Kogan face equals to the character of a Demazure module which occurs in the irreducible representation of $\mathfrak{sl}_n$ having highest weight multiple of fundame… ▽ More
