New research has highlighted a shortfall in the Standard Model (SM) because it predicts neutrinos to have zero mass. However, recent experiments on neutrino oscillation have revealed that the majority of neutrino parameters indeed indicate their significant mass. In response, scientists are increasingly incorporating discrete symmetries alongside continuous ones for better justification of observed patterns of neutrino mixing. In this study, we have examined a model within $A_4\times Z_3\times Z_{10}$ symmetry to estimate the neutrino masses using particle swarm optimization technique for both mass hierarchy of neutrino. This model employed a hybrid seesaw mechanism, a combination of seesaw mechanism of type-I and type-II, to establish the effective Majorana neutrino mass matrix. After calculating the mass eigenvalues and lepton mixing matrix upto second order perturbation theory in this framework, this study seeks to investigate the scalar potential for vacuum expectation values (VEVs), optimize the parameters, $U_{PMNS}$ matrix, neutrino masses: $|{m_{1}^{\prime}}^N|=0.0292794-0.0435082\ eV$, $|{m_{2}^{\prime}}^N|=1.78893\times 10^{-18}-0.0293509\ eV$, $|{m_{3}^{\prime}}^N|=0.0307414-0.0471467\ eV$, $|{m_{1}^{\prime}}^I|=0.00982013-0.0453623\ eV$, $|{m_{2}^{\prime}}^I_|=0.0379702-0.0471197\ eV$, and $|{m_{3}^{\prime}}^I|=0.0122063-0.027544\ eV$, effective neutrino mass parameters: $\langle {m_{ee}} \rangle^N=(0.170-3.93)\times10^{-2}\ eV$, $\langle {m_β} \rangle^N=(0.471-1.39)\times10^{-2}\ eV$, $\langle {m_{ee}} \rangle^I=(1.85-4.55)\times10^{-2}\ eV$ and $\langle {m_β} \rangle^I=(2.26-4.56)\times10^{-2}\ eV$, are predicted for both mass hierarchy through particle swarm optimization (PSO), showing strong agreement with recent experimental findings.

Recent research has indicated that the Standard Model (SM), while historically highly effective, is found to be insufficient due to its prediction of zero mass for neutrinos. With the exception of a few, the majority of the parameters related to neutrinos have been determined by neutrino oscillation experiments with excellent precision. Experiments on neutrino oscillation and neutrino mixing have shown that neutrinos are massive. To fill in gaps, discrete symmetries are becoming more common alongside continuous symmetries while describing the observed pattern of neutrino mixing. Here, we present a $T_7$ flavor symmetry to explain the masses of charged leptons and neutrinos. The light neutrino mass matrix is derived using seesaw mechanism of type I, which involves the Dirac neutrino mass matrix as well as the right-handed neutrino mass matrix. We estimate the Pontecorvo-Maki-Nakagawa-Sakata matrix ($U_{PMNS}$), three mixing angles, $θ_{12}$, $θ_{23}$ and $θ_{13}$, which are strongly correlated with the recent experimental results. The extent of $CP$ violation in neutrino oscillations is obtained by calculating Jarskog invariant $(J_{CP})$ on the behalf of $U_{PMNS}$. We also find the masses of three neutrinos and Effective Majorana neutrino mass parameter $\langle m_{ee} \rangle$ which is $1.0960$ $meV$ and $10.9217$ $meV$ for normal and inverted hierarchy, respectively.

Let $G$ be a graph. Denote by $d_x$, $E(G)$, and $D(G)$ the degree of a vertex $x$ in $G$, the set of edges of $G$, and the degree set of $G$, respectively. This paper proposes to investigate (both from mathematical and applications points of view) those graph invariants of the form $\sum_{uv\in E(G)}\varphi(d_v,d_w)$ in which $\varphi$ can be defined either using well-known means of $d_v$ and $d_w$ (for example: arithmetic, geometric, harmonic, quadratic, and cubic means) or by applying a basic arithmetic operation (addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division) on any of two such means, provided that $\varphi$ is a non-negative and symmetric function defined on the Cartesian square of $D(G)$. Many existing well-known graph invariants can be defined in this way; however, there are many exceptions too. One of such uninvestigated graph invariants is the harmonic-arithmetic (HA) index, which is obtained from the aforementioned setting by taking $\varphi$ as the ratio of the harmonic and arithmetic means of $d_v$ and $d_w$. A molecular tree is a tree whose maximum degree does not exceed four. Given the class of all (molecular) trees with a fixed order, graphs that have the largest or least value of the HA index are completely characterized in this paper.

The Wiener polarity index $W_p$, one of the most studied molecular structure descriptors, was devised by the chemist Harold Wiener for predicting the boiling points of alkanes. The index $W_p$ for chemical trees (chemical graphs representing alkanes) is defined as the number of unordered pairs of vertices at distance 3. A vertex of a chemical tree with the degree at least 3 is called a branching vertex. A segment of a chemical tree $T$ is a path-subtree $S$ whose terminal vertices have degrees different from 2 in $T$ and every internal vertex (if exists) of $S$ has degree 2 in $T$. In this paper, the best possible sharp upper and lower bounds on the Wiener polarity index $W_p$ are derived for the chemical trees of order $n$ with a given number of branching vertices or segments, and the corresponding extremal chemical trees are characterized. As a consequence of the derived results, an open problem concerning the maximal $W_p$ value of chemical trees with a fixed number of segments or branching vertices is solved.

The effects of contact geometry and ideality on InGaAs and Si nano-scale n-channel FinFET performance are studied using a quantum-corrected semi-classical Monte Carlo method. Illustrative end, saddle/slot, and raised source/drain contacts were modeled, and with ideal transmissivity and reduced transmissivity more consistent with experimental contact resistivities. Far-from-equilibrium degenerate statistics, quantum-confinement effects on carrier distributions in real-space and among energy valleys, quasi-ballistic transport inaccessible through drift-diffusion and hydrodynamic simulations, and scattering mechanisms and contact geometries not readily accessible through non-equilibrium Green's function simulation are addressed. Silicon $\langle \hbox{110} \rangle$ channel devices, Si $\langle \hbox{100} \rangle$ channel devices, multi-valley (MV) InGaAs devices with conventionally-reported energy valley offsets, and idealized $Γ$-valley only $\left( Γ\right)$ InGaAs devices are modeled. Simulated silicon devices exhibited relatively limited degradation in performance due to non-ideal contact transmissivities, more limited sensitivity to contact geometry with non-ideal contact transmissivities, and some contact-related advantage for Si $\langle \hbox{110} \rangle$ channel devices. In contrast, simulated InGaAs devices were highly sensitive to contact geometry and ideality and the peripheral valley's energy offset. It is illustrative of this latter sensitivity that simulated $Γ$-InGaAs device outperformed all others by a factor of two or more in terms of peak transconductance with perfectly transmitting reference end contacts, while silicon devices outperformed $Γ$-InGaAs for all contact geometries with non-ideal transmissivities, and MV-InGaAs devices performed the poorest under all simulation scenarios.

The $n$-vertex trees having maximal and minimal $A\!^*$ values are also characterized here. In all the cases, the Noether generators are calculated in the presence of gauge term. All these examples justify the conjecture that Killing symmetries form a subalgebra of Noether symmetries [1].

We study the implications of $R^n$ extension of Starobinsky model on dynamical instability of Vorticity-free axially symmetric gravitating body. The matter distribution is considered to be anisotropic for which modified field equations are formed in context of $f(R)$ gravity. In order to achieve the collapse equation, we make use of the dynamical equations, extracted from linearly perturbed contracted Bianchi identities. The collapse equation carries adiabatic index $Γ$ in terms of usual and dark source components, defining the range of stability/insatbility in Newtonian (N) and post-Newtonian (pN) eras. It is found that supersymmetric supergravity $f(R)$ model represents the more practical substitute of higher order curvature corrections.

In this note, it is proved that $GA$ index is greater than $ABC$ index for line graphs of molecular graphs, for general graphs in which the difference between maximum and minimum degree is less than or equal to $(2δ-1)^{2}$ (where $δ$ is the minimum degree and $δ\geq2$) and for some families of trees.
