Since the launch of the Fermi Gamma-Ray Space Telescope, several hundred gamma-ray pulsars have been discovered, some being radio-loud and some radio-quiet with time-aligned radio and gamma-ray light curves. In the second Fermi Pulsar Catalogue, 117 new gamma-ray pulsars have been reported based on three years of data collected by the Large Area Telescope on the Fermi satellite, providing a wealth of information such as the peak separation~$Δ$ of the gamma-ray pulsations and the radio lag~$δ$ between the gamma-ray and radio pulses. We selected several radio-loud millisecond gamma-ray pulsars with period~$P$ in the range 2-6~ms and showing a double peak in their gamma-ray profiles. We attempted to constrain the geometry of their magnetosphere, namely the magnetic axis and line-of-sight inclination angles for each of these systems. We applied a force-free dipole magnetosphere from the stellar surface up to the striped wind region -- well outside the light cylinder -- to fit the observed pulse profiles in gamma-rays, consistently with their phase alignment with the radio profile. In deciding whether a fitted curve is reasonable or not, we employed a least-square method to compare the observed gamma-ray intensity with that found from our model, emphasising the amplitude of the gamma-ray peaks, their separation, and the phase lag between radio and gamma-ray peaks. We obtained the best fits and reasonable parameters in agreement with observations for ten millisecond pulsars. Eventually, we constrained the geometry of each pulsar described by the magnetic inclination~$α$ and the light-of-sight inclination~$ζ$. We found that both angles are larger than approximately~$45^{\rm o}$.

We have investigated the rotational and the X-ray luminosity ($L_{\mathrm{x}}$) observations of 4U 1626--67 accumulated during the last four decades. It has been recorded that the source underwent a torque reversal twice. We have tried to understand whether this eccentrical sign-switch of the period derivative ($\dot{P}$) of the source could be accounted for with the existing torque models. We have found that the observed source properties are better estimated with the distances close to the lower limit of the previously predicted distance range ($5-13$ kpc). Furthermore, assuming an inclined rotator, we have considered the partial accretion/ejection from the co-rotation radius that leads different $L_{\mathrm{x}}$-$\dot{P}$ profiles than the aligned rotator cases. We have concluded that the oblique rotator assumption brings at least equally best fitting to the observed X-ray luminosity and the rotational properties of 4U 1626--67. More importantly, the estimated change of the mass accretion rate which causes the change in observed $L_{\mathrm{x}}$ of 4U 1626--67 is much less than that is found in an aligned rotator case. In other words, without the need for a substantial modification of mass accretion rate from the companion star, the range of the observed X-ray luminosity could be explained naturally with an inclined magnetic axis and rotation axis of the neutron star.

Among confirmed central compact objects (CCOs), only three sources have measured period and period derivatives. We have investigated possible evolutionary paths of these three CCOs in the fallback disc model. The model can account for the individual X-ray luminosities and rotational properties of the sources consistently with their estimated supernova ages. For these sources, reasonable model curves can be obtained with dipole field strengths $\sim$ a few $\times 10^9$ G on the surface of the star. The model curves indicate that these CCOs were in the spin-up state in the early phase of evolution. The spin-down starts, while accretion is going on, at a time $t \sim 10^3 - 10^4$ yr depending on the current accretion rate, period and the magnetic dipole moment of the star. This implies that some of the CCOs with relatively long periods, weak dipole fields and high X-ray luminosities could be strong candidates to show spin-up behavior if they indeed evolve with fallback discs.

In continuation of our earlier work on the long-term evolution of the so-called high--B radio pulsars (HBRPs) with measured braking indices, we have investigated the long-term evolution of the remaining five HBRPs for which braking indices have not been measured yet. This completes our source-by-source analyses of HBRPs in the fallback disc model that was also applied earlier to anomalous X-ray pulsars (AXPs), soft gamma repeaters (SGRs), and dim isolated neutron stars (XDINs). Our results show that the X-ray luminosities and the rotational properties of these rather different neutron star populations can be acquired by neutron stars with fallback discs as a result of differences in their initial conditions, namely the initial disc mass, initial period and the dipole field strength. For the five HBRPs, unlike for AXPs, SGRs and XDINs, our results do not constrain the dipole field strengths of the sources. We obtain evolutionary paths leading to the properties of HBRPs in the propeller phase with dipole fields sufficiently strong to produce pulsed radio emission.

We have investigated the long-term evolutions of the high-magnetic field radio pulsars (HBRPs) with measured braking indices in the same model that was applied earlier to individual anomalous X-ray pulsars (AXPs), soft gamma repeaters (SGRs) and dim isolated neutron stars (XDINs). We have shown that the rotational properties (period, period derivative and braking index) and the X-ray luminosity of individual HBRPs can be acquired simultaneously by the neutron stars evolving with fallback discs. The model sources reach the observed properties of HBRPs in the propeller phases, when pulsed radio emission is allowed, at ages consistent with the estimated ages of the supernova remnants of the sources. Our results indicate that the strength of magnetic dipole fields of HBRPs are comparable to and even greater than those of AXP/SGRs and XDINs, but still one or two orders of magnitude smaller than the values inferred from the magnetic dipole torque formula. The possible evolutionary paths of the sources imply that they will lose their seemingly HBRP property after about a few 10^4 yr, because either their rapidly decreasing period derivatives will lead them into the normal radio pulsar population, or they will evolve into the accretion phase switching off the radio pulses.

It is very vital for suppliers and distributors to predict the deregulated electricity prices for creating their bidding strategies in the competitive market area. Pre requirement of succeeding in this field, accurate and suitable electricity tariff price forecasting tools are needed. In the presence of effective forecasting tools, taking the decisions of production, merchandising, maintenance and investment with the aim of maximizing the profits and benefits can be successively and effectively done. According to the electricity demand, there are four various electricity tariffs pricing in Turkey; monochromic, day, peak and night. The objective is find the best suitable tool for predicting the four pricing periods of electricity and produce short term forecasts (one year ahead-monthly). Our approach based on finding the best model, which ensures the smallest forecasting error measurements of: MAPE, MAD and MSD. We conduct a comparison of various forecasting approaches in total accounts for nine teen, at least all of those have different aspects of methodology. Our beginning step was doing forecasts for the year 2015. We validated and analyzed the performance of our best model and made comparisons to see how well the historical values of 2015 and forecasted data for that specific period matched. Results show that given the time-series data, the recommended models provided good forecasts. Second part of practice, we also include the year 2015, and compute all the models with the time series of January 2011 to December 2015. Again by choosing the best appropriate forecasting model, we conducted the forecast process and also analyze the impact of enhancing of time series periods (January 2007 to December 2015) to model that we used for forecasting process.

Most people do not know how much energy they are spending for different purposes and also they are unaware of potential electrical consumption reduction level they could make by changing their consumption behaviors or investing in new efficient technology products. Providing electrical consumption information to household and make the consumption information tangible is very effective strategy in reducing electrical consumption in households. In Home Displays provide consumers real time information on electrical consumption level and related expenditure, with that strategy turning an intangible electric bill into transparent and controllable is possible. We interviewed the participants before the start to our study in order to have knowledge of their income, environmental attitudes and the knowledge level of their electrical consumption conserving activities. Monitoring over 3 to 5 months maximal of five households electrical consumption and comparing that consumption level with the previous year had been realized. Households received advanced real time appliance level feedback. Behavioral change associated electrical consumption reduction levels were identified. It is also realized that setting goals via an electrical energy consumption display have high potential on reducing the total electricity consumption in households. We found 0, 0, 13.21, 3.42, 1.59 % electricity savings on house 1, house 2, house 3, house 4 and house 5 correspondingly. It is suggested that further attention need to be given on potential reduction effect of applying different type of monitor designs and implication of special designed stimulants that can be used all over the house that can alert households with their current consumption level. Also, it is suggested to concentrate on time periods in order to analyze and try to reveal specific time periods for specific consumption behaviors.

The accuracy of the household electricity consumption forecast is vital in taking better cost effective and energy efficient decisions. In order to design accurate, proper and efficient forecasting model, characteristics of the series have to been analyzed. The source of time series data comes from Online Enerjisa System, the system of electrical energy provider in capital of Turkey, which consumers can reach their latest two year period electricity consumptions; in our study the period was May 2014 to May 2016. Various techniques had been applied in order to analyze the data; classical decomposition models; standard typed and also with the centering moving average method, regression equations, exponential smoothing models and ARIMA models. In our study, nine teen different approaches; all of these have at least diversified aspects of methodology, had been compared and the best model for forecasting were decided by considering the smallest values of MAPE, MAD and MSD. As a first step we took the time period May 2014 to May 2016 and found predicted value for June 2016 with the best forecasting model. After finding the best forecasting model and fitted value for June 2016, than validating process had been taken place; we made comparisons to see how well the real value of June 2016 and forecasted value for that specific period matched. Afterwards we made electrical consumption forecast for the following 3 months; June-September 2016 for each of five households individually.

In the frame of the fallback disc model, we have obtained the ranges of disc mass and dipole field strength that can produce the observed source properties. We have compared our results with those obtained earlier for dim isolated neutron stars (XDINs). Our results show that (1) the X-ray luminosity, period and period derivative of the individual AXP/SGR sources can be produced self-consistently in the fallback disc model with very similar basic disc parameters to those used earlier in the same model to explain the long-term evolution of XDINs, (2) except two sources, AXP/SGRs are evolving in the accretion phase; these two exceptional sources, like XDINs, completed their accretion phase in the past and are now evolving in the final propeller phase and still slowing down with the disc torques, (3) the dipole field strength (at the poles) of XDINs are in the $10^{11}-10^{12}$ G range, while AXP/SGRs have relatively strong dipole fields between $1-6 \times 10^{12}$ G, and (4) the source properties can be obtained with large ranges of disc masses which do not allow a clear test of correlation between disc masses and the magnetic dipole fields for the whole AXP/SGRs and XDIN population.

We have analyzed the long-term evolution and the X-ray outburst light curve of SGR 0501+4516 in the frame of the fallback disc model. We have shown that the X-ray luminosity, period and period derivative of this typical soft gamma repeater can be achieved by a neutron star with a large range of initial disc masses provided that the source has a magnetic dipole field of ~ 1.4 x 10^{12} G on the pole of the star. At present, the star is accreting matter from the disc, which has an age ~ 3 x 10^4 yr, and will remain in the accretion phase until t ~ 2 - 5 x 10^5 yr depending on the initial disc mass. With its current rotational rate, this source is not expected to give pulsed radio emission even if the accretion on to the star is hindered by some mechanism. The X-ray enhancement light curve of SGR 0501+4516 can be accounted for by the same model applied earlier to the X-ray enhancement light curves of other anomalous X-ray pulsars/soft gamma repeaters with the same basic disc parameters. We have further shown that the optical/IR data of SGR 0501+4516 is in good agreement with the emission from an irradiated fallback disc with the properties consistent with our long-term evolution model.

We apply the fallback disk model, which explains the period clustering and other properties of AXP/SGRs, to the six XDINs with measured periods and period derivatives. Present properties of XDINs are obtained in evolutionary scenarios with surface dipole magnetic fields $B_0 \sim 10^{12}$ G. The XDINs have gone through an accretion epoch with rapid spin-down earlier, and have emerged in their current state, with the X-ray luminosity provided by neutron star cooling and no longer by accretion. Our results indicate that the known XDINs are not likely to be active radio pulsars, as the low $B_0$, together with their long periods place these sources clearly below the "death valley".

During a soft gamma burst episode, the inner disk matter is pushed back to larger radii forming a density gradient at the inner disk. Subsequent relaxation of the inner disk could account for the observed X-ray enhancement light curve of Swift J1822.3-1606. We obtain model fits to the X-ray data with basic disk parameters similar to those employed to explain the X-ray outburst light curves of other AXPs and SGRs. The long period (8.4 s) of the neutron star can be reached by the effect of the disk torques in the long-term accretion phase (1-3 x 10^5 yrs). The currently ongoing X-ray enhancement could be due to a transient accretion epoch, or the source could still be in the accretion phase in quiescence. Considering these different possibilities, we determine the model curves that could represent the long-term rotational and the X-ray luminosity evolution of Swift J1822.3-1606, which constrain the strength of the magnetic dipole field to the range of 1-2 x 10^12 G on the surface of the neutron star.
