Decentralized data markets gather data from many contributors to create a joint data cooperative governed by market stakeholders. The ability to perform secure computation on decentralized data markets would allow for useful insights to be gained while respecting the privacy of data contributors. Decentralized data markets gather data from many contributors to create a joint data cooperative governed by market stakeholders. The ability to perform secure computation on decentralized data markets would allow for useful insights to be gained while respecting the privacy of data contributors. In this paper, we design secure protocols for such computation by utilizing secure multi-party computation techniques including garbled circuit evaluation and homomorphic encryption. Our proposed solutions are efficient and capable of performing arbitrary computation, but we report performance on two specific applications in the healthcare domain to emphasize the applicability of our methods to sensitive datasets.

A Comparison Between Laguerre, Hermite, and Sinc Orthogonal Functions
Authors:

Abstract:
A series of problems in different fields such as physics and chemistry are modeled by differential equations. Differential equations are divided into partial differential equations and ordinary differential equations which can be linear or nonlinear. One approach to solve those kinds of equations is using orthogonal functions into spectral methods. In this paper, we firstly describe Laguerre, Herm…

A series of problems in different fields such as physics and chemistry are modeled by differential equations. Differential equations are divided into partial differential equations and ordinary differential equations which can be linear or nonlinear. One approach to solve those kinds of equations is using orthogonal functions into spectral methods. In this paper, we firstly describe Laguerre, Hermite, and Sinc orthogonal functions. Secondly, we select three interesting problems which are modeled as differential equations over the interval $[0, +\infty)$. Then, we use the collocation method as a spectral method for solving those selected problems and compare the performance of Laguerre, Hermite, and Sinc orthogonal functions in solving those types of equations.

Abstract:
We present three private fingerprint alignment and matching protocols, based on what are considered to be the most precise and efficient fingerprint recognition algorithms, which use minutia points. Our protocols allow two or more honest-but-curious parties to compare their respective privately-held fingerprints in a secure way such that they each learn nothing more than an accurate score of how w…

We present three private fingerprint alignment and matching protocols, based on what are considered to be the most precise and efficient fingerprint recognition algorithms, which use minutia points. Our protocols allow two or more honest-but-curious parties to compare their respective privately-held fingerprints in a secure way such that they each learn nothing more than an accurate score of how well the fingerprints match. To the best of our knowledge, this is the first time fingerprint alignment based on minutiae is considered in a secure computation framework. We build secure fingerprint alignment and matching protocols in both the two-party setting using garbled circuit evaluation and in the multi-party setting using secret sharing techniques. In addition to providing precise and efficient secure fingerprint alignment and matching, our contributions include the design of a number of secure sub-protocols for complex operations such as sine, cosine, arctangent, square root, and selection, which are likely to be of independent interest.

Abstract:
In this paper, we propose Hermite collocation method for solving Thomas-Fermi equation that is nonlinear ordinary differential equation on semi-infinite interval. This method reduces the solution of this problem to the solution of a system of algebraic equations. We also present the comparison of this work with solution of other methods that shows the present solution is more accurate and faster c…
