Zero Lyapunov Exponents in Transitive Skew-products of Iterated Function Systems
Abstract: We study the class of transitive skew-products associated with iterated function systems of circle diffeomorphisms. We can approximate any transitive skew-product by maps in this class that have a robustly zero Lyapunov exponent. In particular, we prove the existence of non-hyperbolic ergodic measures for an open and dense subset of transitive skew-products. Moreover, these measures have full supp… ▽ More

Minimal Strong Foliations in Skew-products of Iterated Function Systems
Abstract: We study locally constant skew-product maps over full shifts of finite symbols with arbitrary compact metric spaces as fiber spaces. We introduce a new criterion to determine the density of leaves of the strong unstable (and strong stable) foliation, that is, for its minimality. When the fiber space is a circle, we show that both strong foliations are minimal for an open and dense set of robust tr… ▽ More

Finitude of physical measures for random maps
Abstract: For random compositions of independent and identically distributed measurable maps on a Polish space, we study the existence and finitude of absolutely continuous ergodic stationary probability measures (which are, in particular, physical measures) whose basins of attraction cover the whole space almost everywhere. We characterize and hierarchize such random maps in terms of their associated Marko… ▽ More

Homoclinic tangencies leading to robust heterodimensional cycles
Abstract: We consider $C^r$ ($r\geqslant 1$) diffeomorphisms $f$ defined on manifolds of dimension $\geqslant 3$ with homoclinic tangencies associated to saddles. Under generic properties, we show that if the saddle is homoclinically related to a blender then the diffeomorphism $f$ can be {$C^r$} approximated by diffeomorphisms with {$C^1$} robust heterodimensional cycles. As an application, we show that th… ▽ More

**-pong partitions and locally discrete groups of real-analytic circle diffeomorphisms, II: Applications
Abstract: In the first part of this work we have established an efficient method to obtain a topological classification of locally discrete, finitely generated, virtually free subgroups of real-analytic circle diffeomorphisms. In this second part we describe several consequences, among which the solution (within this setting) to an old conjecture by P. R. Dippolito [Ann. Math. 107 (1978), 403-453] that acti… ▽ More

Historic wandering domains near cycles
Abstract: We explain how to obtain non-trivial historic contractive wandering domains for a dense set of diffeomorphisms in certain type of $C^r$-Newhouse domains of homoclinic tangencies in dimension $d\geq 3$ and $r\geq 1$. In particular, this gives for the first time a contribution to Takens' last problem in the $C^1$ topology and in dimension $d>2$. We show how these Newhouse domains can be obtained arb… ▽ More

Topological entropy and Hausdorff dimension of irregular sets for non-hyperbolic dynamical systems
Abstract: We systematically investigate examples of non-hyperbolic dynamical systems having irregular sets of full topological entropy and full Hausdorff dimension. The examples include some partially hyperbolic systems and geometric Lorenz flows. We also pose interesting questions for future research.

Typical coexistence of infinitely many strange attractors
Abstract: We prove that the coexistence of infinitely many prevalent Hénon-like phenomena is Kolmogorov typical in sectional dissipative $C^{d,r}$-Berger domains of parameter families of diffeomorphisms of dimension $m\geq 3$ for $d<r-1$. Namely, we answer an old question posed by Colli in [Annales de l'Institut Henri Poincare-Nonlinear Analysis, 15, 539--580 (1998)] on typicality of the coexistence of infi… ▽ More

Berger domains and Kolmogorov typicality of infinitely many invariant circles

Robust degenerate unfoldings of cycles and tangencies
Abstract: We construct open sets of degenerate unfoldings of heterodimensional cycles of any co-index $c>0$ and homoclinic tangencies of arbitrary codimension $c>0$. These sets are known to be the support of unexpected phenomena in families of diffeomorphisms, such as the Kolmogorov typical co-existence of infinitely many attractors. Density of fiberwise orbits in minimal iterated function systems on the circle
Abstract: We study the minimality of almost every orbital branch of minimal iterated function systems (IFSs). We prove that this kind of minimality holds for forward and backward minimal IFSs generated by orientation-preserving homeomorphisms of the circle. We provide new examples of iterated functions systems where this behavior persists under perturbation of the generators.

Dynamics of iterated function systems on the circle close to rotations
Abstract: We study the dynamics of iteration function systems generated by a pair of circle diffeomorphisms close to rotations in the $C^{1+\mathrm{bv}}$-topology. In particular, there are no invariant minimal Cantor sets, which can be seen as a Denjoy/Duminy type theorem for iterated systems on the circle.
