The paper is devoted to the Thomson scattering (TS) diagnostics recently developed for the Globus-M2 spherical tokamak and prototy** the ITER divertor TS diagnostics. The distinctive features of the system are the use of spectrometers, acquisition system and lasers that meet the base requirements for ITER TS diagnostics. The paper describes the diagnostic system that allows precise measurements of TS signals, as well as the results of the first measurements of electron temperature and density in both central region of the plasma column and scrape-off layer. The system provides measurements of electron temperature $T_{e}$ in the range of 5 eV to 5 keV and density $n_{e}$ in the range of $5{\cdot}10^{17}÷3.25{\cdot}10^{20} m^{-3}$. The use of two ITER-grade probing lasers of different wavelengths (Nd:YAG 1064.5 nm and Nd:YLF 1047.3 nm) allows reliable measurement of $T_{e}$ in multi-colour mode, i.e., assuming that spectral calibration is unknown.

Off-road image semantic segmentation is challenging due to the presence of uneven terrains, unstructured class boundaries, irregular features and strong textures. These aspects affect the perception of the vehicle from which the information is used for path planning. Current off-road datasets exhibit difficulties like class imbalance and understanding of varying environmental topography. To overcome these issues we propose a framework for off-road semantic segmentation called as OFFSEG that involves (i) a pooled class semantic segmentation with four classes (sky, traversable region, non-traversable region and obstacle) using state-of-the-art deep learning architectures (ii) a colour segmentation methodology to segment out specific sub-classes (grass, puddle, dirt, gravel, etc.) from the traversable region for better scene understanding. The evaluation of the framework is carried out on two off-road driving datasets, namely, RELLIS-3D and RUGD. We have also tested proposed framework in IISERB campus frames. The results show that OFFSEG achieves good performance and also provides detailed information on the traversable region.

In this paper the problem of guidance formulation for autonomous soft landing of unmanned aerial vehicles on stationary, moving, or accelerating / maneuvering ground vehicles at desired approach angles in both azimuth and elevation is considered. Nonlinear engagement kinematics have been used. While integrated nonlinear controllers have been developed in the literature for this purpose, in practical implementations the controller inputs often need modification of the existing autopilot structure, which is challenging. In order to avoid that a higher-level guidance algorithm is designed in this paper leveraging sliding mode control-based approach. In the presented guidance formulation, target-state-dependent singularity can be avoided in the guidance command. The effectiveness of the presented guidance law is verified with numerical simulation studies. However, since the algorithm in its basic form is found to demand high guidance command at large distances from maneuvering ground targets, a two-phase guidance is presented next to avoid this problem and validated with numerical simulations. Finally, the efficacy of the modified guidance algorithm is validated by Software-In-The-Loop simulations for a realistic testbed.

Using a sample of $1.06\times10^{8}$ $ψ(3686)$ events collected with the BESIII detector, we present the first observation of the decays of $ψ(3686)$ $\rightarrow$ $Λ\barΣ^{+}π^{-}+c.c.$ and $ψ(3686)$ $\rightarrow$ $Λ\barΣ^{-}π^{+}+c.c.$. The branching fractions are measured to be $\mathcal{B}(ψ(3686) \rightarrow Λ\barΣ^{+}π^{-} + c.c.)=(1.40\pm 0.03 \pm 0.13)\times10^{-4}$ and…
