The Large Language Model Bias Index (LLMBI) is a pioneering approach designed to quantify and address biases inherent in large language models (LLMs), such as GPT-4. We recognise the increasing prevalence and impact of LLMs across diverse sectors. This research introduces a novel metric, LLMBI, to systematically measure and mitigate biases potentially skewing model responses. We formulated LLMBI using a composite scoring system incorporating multiple dimensions of bias, including but not limited to age, gender, and racial biases. To operationalise this metric, we engaged in a multi-step process involving collecting and annotating LLM responses, applying sophisticated Natural Language Processing (NLP) techniques for bias detection, and computing the LLMBI score through a specially crafted mathematical formula. The formula integrates weighted averages of various bias dimensions, a penalty for dataset diversity deficiencies, and a correction for sentiment biases. Our empirical analysis, conducted using responses from OpenAI's API, employs advanced sentiment analysis as a representative method for bias detection. The research reveals LLMs, whilst demonstrating impressive capabilities in text generation, exhibit varying degrees of bias across different dimensions. LLMBI provides a quantifiable measure to compare biases across models and over time, offering a vital tool for systems engineers, researchers and regulators in enhancing the fairness and reliability of LLMs. It highlights the potential of LLMs in mimicking unbiased human-like responses. Additionally, it underscores the necessity of continuously monitoring and recalibrating such models to align with evolving societal norms and ethical standards.

Rotation, which stabilizes flow, can enhance the heat transfer in Rayleigh-Bénard convection (RBC) through Ekman pum**. In this Letter, we present the results of our direct numerical simulations of rotating RBC, providing a comprehensive analysis of this heat transfer enhancement relative to non-rotating RBC in the parameter space of Rayleigh number ($Ra$), Prandtl number ($Pr$), and Taylor number ($Ta$). We show that for a given $Ra$, there exists a critical Prandtl number ($Pr_{cr}$) below which no significant heat transfer enhancement occurs at any rotation rate, and an optimal Prandtl number ($Pr_{opt}$) at which maximum heat transfer enhancement occurs at an optimal rotation rate ($Ta_{opt}$). Notably, $Pr_{cr}$, $Pr_{opt}$, $Ta_{opt}$, and the maximum heat transfer enhancement all increase with increasing $Ra$. We also demonstrate a significant heat transfer enhancement up to $Ra=2\times 10^{10}$ and predict that the enhancement would become even more pronounced at higher $Ra$, provided $Pr$ is also increased commensurately.

We explore the electronic and topological properties of single crystal SrAl$_2$Si$_2$ using magnetotransport experiments in conjunction with first-principle calculations. We find that the temperature-dependent resistivity shows a pronounced peak near 50 K. We observe several remarkable features at low temperatures, such as large non-saturating magnetoresistance, Shubnikov-de Haas oscillations and cusp-like magneto-conductivity. The maximum value of magnetoresistance turns out to be 459\% at 2 K and 12 T. The analysis of the cusp-like feature in magneto-conductivity indicates a clear signature of weak anti-localization. Our Hall resistivity measurements confirm the presence of two types of charge carriers in SrAl$_2$Si$_2$, with low carrier density.

Combining experimental investigations and first-principles DFT calculations, we report physical and magnetic properties of Gd-substituted Y$_2$CoMnO$_6$ double perovskite, which are strongly influenced by antisite-disorder-driven spin configurations. On Gd do**, Co and Mn ions are present in mixed-valence (Co$^{3+}$, Co$^{2+}$, Mn$^{3+}$ and Mn$^{4+}$) states. Multiple magnetic transitions have been observed: i) paramagnetic to ferromagnetic transition is found to occur at \textit{T}$_C$=95.5 K, ii) antiferromagnetic transition at \textit{T}$_N$=47 K is driven by $3d-4f$ polarisation and antisite disorder present in the sample, iii) change in magnetization below \textit{T}$\leq$20 K, primarily originating from Gd ordering, as revealed from our DFT calculations. AC susceptibility measurement confirms the absence of any spin-glass or cluster-glass phases in this material. A significantly large exchange bias effect (\textit{H}$_{EB}$=1.07 kOe) is found to occur below 47 K due to interfaces of FM and AFM clusters created by antisite-disorder.

The mixed rare-earth orthochromite Nd$_{0.5}$Dy$_{0.5}$CrO$_{3}$ has a Néel temperature ($T_\mathrm{N}$) of ${\sim}$ 175\,K, resulting in the G-type antiferromagnetic ordering of Cr$^{3+}$ spins. The inverse susceptibility shows a deviation from Curie-Weiss law at 230\,K, with a large effective paramagnetic moment of 8.8\,$μ_{\mathrm{B}}$. The ZFC-FC magnetization bifurcate just above $T_\mathrm{N}$ and show a distinct signature of spin reorientation near 60\,K. Neutron diffraction show that below $T_\mathrm{N}$, the Cr$^{3+}$ spins align in $Γ_{2}$ representation as ($F_{x}$, $G_{z}$). Below 60\,K, due to spin reorientation, the magnetic structure is in $Γ_{1}$ ($G_{y}$) configuration. The neutron diffraction does not show any signature of rare-earth ordering even at 1.5\,K. First principles density functional theory calculations within GGA+U and GGA+U+SO approximations reveal that the G-type antiferromagnetic order is the ground state magnetic structure of Cr sublattice and the spin-reorientation of Cr$^{3+}$ spins can happen in the absence of 3d-4f interactions unlike in the case of orthoferrites. The specific heat shows a `$λ$' anomaly at $T_\mathrm{N}$, while at low temperature two distinct Schottky anomalies are observed; a Schottky peak at 2\,K and an additional step-like feature above 10\,K. Above $T_\mathrm{N}$, the magnetic transition is preceded by structural anomalies as seen in our x-ray diffraction and Raman measurements. The deviation of structural parameters near Néel temperature is smaller. The phonon frequencies show deviation from the standard anharmonic behaviour: first near 250\,K, due to magneto-volume effects while the second deviation occurs near 200\,K due to spin-phonon coupling.

Sentiment analysis is the task of automatic analysis of opinions and emotions of users towards an entity or some aspect of that entity. Political Sentiment Analysis of social media helps the political strategists to scrutinize the performance of a party or candidate and improvise their weaknesses far before the actual elections. During the time of elections, the social networks get flooded with blogs, chats, debates and discussions about the prospects of political parties and politicians. The amount of data generated is much large to study, analyze and draw inferences using the latest techniques. Twitter is one of the most popular social media platforms enables us to perform domain-specific data preparation. In this work, we chose to identify the inclination of political opinions present in Tweets by modelling it as a text classification problem using classical machine learning. The tweets related to the Delhi Elections in 2020 are extracted and employed for the task. Among the several algorithms, we observe that Support Vector Machines portrays the best performance.

In present study, the magnetic structure and spin reorientation of mixed doped orthoferrite Nd$_{0.5}$Dy$_{0.5}$FeO$_3$ have been investigated. Similar to both parent compounds (NdFeO$_3$ and DyFeO$_3$), the magnetic structure of Fe$^{3+}$ belongs to $Γ_{4}$ irreducible representation (G$_{x}$, F$_{z}$) at room temperature. The experimental measurements confirmed the spin reorientation where magnetic structure of Fe$^{3+}$ changes from $Γ_{4}$ to $Γ_{2}$(F$_{x}$, G$_{z}$) between 75 and 20 \,K while maintaining G-type configuration. Such a gradual spin reorientation is unusual since the large single ion anisotropy of Dy$^{3+}$ ions causes an abrupt $Γ_{4}$${\rightarrow}$ $Γ_{1}$(G$_{y}$) spin reorientation in DyFeO$_3$. Between 20 and 10 \,K, the Fe$^{3+}$ magnetic structure is represented by $Γ_{2}$ (F$_{x}$, G$_{z}$). Unexpectedly, magnetic structure of Fe$^{3+}$ with $Γ_{4}$ representation re-emerges below 10\,K which also coincides with the development of rare-earth (Nd$^{3+}$/Dy$^{3+}$) magnetic ordering having C$_{y}$ configuration with magnetic moment of 1.8 $μ_{B}$. The absence of any signature of second order phase transition in the specific heat confirms the role of $R$(Nd$^{3+}$/Dy$^{3+}$)-Fe$^{3+}$ exchange interaction in the observed "rare-earth ordering" unlike DyFeO$_3$ where Dy$^{3+}$ ordering takes place independently to the magnetic ordering of Fe$^{3+}$ magnetic structure. Our (DFT+U+SO) calculations show that the C-type arrangement of rare-earth ions (Nd$^{3+}$/Dy$^{3+}$) with $Γ_{2}$ configuration for Fe$^{3+}$ moments is the ground state whereas $Γ_{4}$ phase is energetically very close. Nd-Fe and Nd-Dy exchange interactions, estimated from DFT, are observed to have significant roles in the rare earth ordering and Fe spin reorientation corroborating our experimental results.

Global energy crises are increasing every moment. Every one has the attention towards more and more energy production and also trying to save it. Electricity can be produced through many ways which is then synchronized on a main grid for usage. The main issue for which we have written this survey paper is losses in electrical system. Weather these losses are technical or non-technical. Technical losses can be calculated easily, as we discussed in section of mathematical modeling that how to calculate technical losses. Where as nontechnical losses can be evaluated if technical losses are known. Theft in electricity produce non-technical losses. To reduce or control theft one can save his economic resources. Smart meter can be the best option to minimize electricity theft, because of its high security, best efficiency, and excellent resistance towards many of theft ideas in electromechanical meters. So in this paper we have mostly concentrated on theft issues.
