Binary tomography is concerned with reconstructing a binary image from a very small number or other limited CT projection data. This problem itself not only possesses several medical imaging applications but also can be considered a model of general inverse problems to recover the object shape from limited measured data. Several approaches such as the Mumford-Shah method and various level-set methods have been investigated, but most of them lead to a non-convex optimization due to the difficulty to handle the binary constraint. We propose a new method based on a convex optimization inspired by dictionary-based shape recovery. In the proposed method, the object boundary of the binary image is represented by a level set of linear combinations of basis vectors in the dictionary. Using the dictionary, the object boundary is reconstructed by finding weights of the linear combination that best match the measured data. We create the dictionary by using the Gaussian radial basis function (GRBF). More concretely, we use Gaussian functions as a basis function placed at sparse grid points to represent the parametric level-set function and provide more flexibility in the binary representation of the reconstructed image. The simulation results of CT image reconstruction from only four projection data demonstrate that the proposed method can recover the object boundary more accurately compared with other competitive methods. The significance of our approach is the formulation with a tractable convex program while kee** moderate mathematical rigorousness.

Abstract:
In the theory of differential geometry curves, a curve is said to be of constant-ratio if the ratio of the length of the tangential and normal components of its position vector function is constant. In this paper, we study and characterize a spacelike admissible curve of constant-ratio in terms of its curvature functions in pseudo-Galilean space. Technology adoption in healthcare services has resulted in advancing care delivery services and improving the experiences of patients. This paper presents research that aims to find the important requirements for a remote monitoring system for patients with COVID-19. As this pandemic is growing more and more, there is a critical need for such systems. In this paper, the requirements and the value are determined for the proposed system, which integrates a smart bracelet that helps to signal patient vital signs. (376) participants completed the online quantitative survey. According to the study results, Most Healthcare Experts, (97.9%) stated that the automated wearable device is very useful, it plays an essential role in routine healthcare tasks (in early diagnosis, quarantine enforcement, and patient status monitoring), and it simplifies their routine healthcare activities. I addition, the main vital signs based on their expert opinion should include temperature (66% of participants) and oxygenation level (95% of participants). These findings are essential to any academic and industrial future efforts to develop these vital wearable systems. The future work will involve implementing the design based on the results of this study and use machine-learning algorithm to better detect the COVID-19 cases based on the monitoring of vital signs and symptoms.

The automotive industry is currently undergoing major changes. These include a general shift towards decarbonised mode of transportation, the implementation of mobility as an end-to-end service, and the transition to vehicles that increasingly rely on software and digital tools to function. Digitalisation is expected to play a key role in sha** the future of mobility ecosystems by fostering the integration of traditionally independent system domains in the energy, transportation and information sectors. This report discusses opportunities and challenges for engineering data-driven solutions that support the requirements of future digitalised mobility systems based on three use cases for electric vehicle public charging infrastructures, services and security.

We lay out a comprehensive physics case for a future high-energy muon collider, exploring a range of collision energies (from 1 to 100 TeV) and luminosities. We highlight the advantages of such a collider over proposed alternatives. We show how one can leverage both the point-like nature of the muons themselves as well as the cloud of electroweak radiation that surrounds the beam to blur the dichotomy between energy and precision in the search for new physics. The physics case is buttressed by a range of studies with applications to electroweak symmetry breaking, dark matter, and the naturalness of the weak scale. Furthermore, we make sharp connections with complementary experiments that are probing new physics effects using electric dipole moments, flavor violation, and gravitational waves. An extensive appendix provides cross section predictions as a function of the center-of-mass energy for many canonical simplified models.

An affine factorable surface of the second kind in the three dimensional pseudo-Galilean space G13 is studied depending on the invariant theory and theory of differential equation. The first and second fundamental forms, Gaussian curvature and mean curvature of the meant surface are obtained according to the basic principles of differential geometry. Also, some special cases are presented by changing the partial differential equation into the ordinary differential equation to simplify the solving process. The classification theorems of the considered surface with zero and non zero Gaussian and mean curvatures are given. Some examples of such a study are provided

The origin of the high-frequency radio emission detected from several magnetars is poorly understood. In this paper, we report the ~40 GHz properties of SGR J1745-29 as measured using Jansky Very Large Array (JVLA) and Robert C. Byrd Green Bank Telescope (GBT) observations between 2013 October 26 and 2014 May 31. Our analysis of a Q-band (45 GHz) GBT observation on 2014 April 10 resulted in the earliest detection of pulsed radio emission at high frequencies (>20 GHz); we found that the average pulse has a singly peaked profile with width ~75 ms (~2% of the 3.764 s pulse period) and an average pulsed flux density of ~100 mJy. We also detected very bright, short (<10 ms) single pulses during ~70% of this neutron star's rotations, and the peak flux densities of these bright pulses follow the same log-normal distribution as measured at 8.5 GHz. Additionally, our analysis of contemporaneous JVLA observations suggest that its 41/44 GHz flux density varied between ~1-4 mJy during this period, with a ~2x change observed on ~20 minute timescales during a JVLA observation on 2014 May 10. Such a drastic change over short time-scales is inconsistent with the radio emission resulting from a shock powered by the magnetar's supersonic motion through the surrounding medium, and instead is dominated by pulsed emission generated in its magnetosphere.
