Methods of computational quantum chemistry provide accurate approximations of molecular properties crucial for computer-aided drug discovery and other areas of chemical science. However, high computational complexity limits the scalability of their applications. Neural network potentials (NNPs) are a promising alternative to quantum chemistry methods, but they require large and diverse datasets for training. This work presents a new dataset and benchmark called $\nabla^2$DFT that is based on the nablaDFT. It contains twice as much molecular structures, three times more conformations, new data types and tasks, and state-of-the-art models. The dataset includes energies, forces, 17 molecular properties, Hamiltonian and overlap matrices, and a wavefunction object. All calculations were performed at the DFT level ($ω$B97X-D/def2-SVP) for each conformation. Moreover, $\nabla^2$DFT is the first dataset that contains relaxation trajectories for a substantial number of drug-like molecules. We also introduce a novel benchmark for evaluating NNPs in molecular property prediction, Hamiltonian prediction, and conformational optimization tasks. Finally, we propose an extendable framework for training NNPs and implement 10 models within it.

The use of self-assembled monolayers (SAMs) with anchoring groups was considered as an effective approach for interface engineering in perovskite solar cells with metal oxide charge transporting layers. However, the coating of SAM layers in PSMs by means of a slot-die is a challenging process due to the low viscosity of the solutions and the low wettability of the films. In this study, we integrate a triphenylamine-based polymer, pTPA-TDP, blended with SAM based on 5-[4-[4-(diphenylamino) phenyl] thiophene-2-carboxylic acid (TPATC), to address the challenges of uniform slot-die coating and interface passivation in large-area modules. We fabricated p-i-n oriented PSMs on 50x50 mm2 substrates (12-sub-cells) with NiO hole transport layer (HTL) and organic interlayers for surface modification. Wetting angle map** demonstrated that ununiform regions of the slot-die coated SAM have hydrophobicity with contact angle values up to 90°, causing fluctuations in absorber thickness and the presence of macro-defects at buried interfaces. The incorporation of the blended interlayer to NiO/perovskite junction homogenized the surface wettability (contact angle=40°) and mitigated lattice strain in the absorber. This enabled the effective use of SAM properties on a large-area surface, improving energy level alignment and enhancing the power conversion efficiency (PCE) of the modules from 13.98% to 15.83% and stability (ISOS-L-2, T80 period) from 500-1000 hours to 1630 hours. Investigation of PSMs upon cooling till -5 °C showed that the PCE increased by +0.19%/°C for samples with NiO HTL, while using SAM and blended interlayers raised the coefficient to ~0.40%/°C due to changes in activation energy and trap contributions to device performance across a wide temperature range.

We have started a measurement campaign of numerous methanol isotopologs in low-lying torsional states in order to provide extensive line lists for radio astronomical observations from an adequate spectroscopic model and to investigate how the intricate vibration-torsion-rotation interactions manifest themselves in the spectra of different isotopic species. After CD$_3$OH and CD$_3$OD, we turn our focus to CH$_3$OD, which is an important species for studying deuteration in prestellar cores and envelopes that enshroud protostars. Notably, deuteration is frequently viewed as a diagnostic tool for star formation. The measurements used in this study were obtained in two spectroscopic laboratories and cover large fractions of the 34 GHz--1.35 THz range. As done in previous studies, we employed a torsion-rotation Hamiltonian model for our analysis that is based on the rho-axis method. The resulting model describes the ground and first excited torsional states of CH$_3$OD well up to quantum numbers $J \leqslant 51$ and $K_a \leqslant 18$. We derived a line list for radio astronomical observations from this model that is accurate up to at least 1.35~THz and should be sufficient for all types of radio astronomical searches for this methanol isotopolog in these two lowest torsional states. This line list was applied to a reinvestigation of CH$_3$OD in data from the Protostellar Interferometric Line Survey of IRAS 16293--2422 obtained with the Atacama Large Millimeter/submillimeter Array. The new accurately determined value for the column density of CH$_3$OD implies that the deuteration in methanol differs in its two functional groups by a factor of $\sim$7.5.

We consider an $n\times n$ system of ODEs on $\mathbb{P}^1$ with a simple pole $A$ at $z=0$ and a double pole $u={\rm diag}(u_1, \dots, u_n)$ at $z=\infty$. This is the simplest situation in which the monodromy data of the system are described by upper and lower triangular Stokes matrices $S_\pm$, and we impose reality conditions which imply $S_-=S_+^\dagger$. We study leading WKB exponents of Stokes matrices in parametrizations given by generalized minors and by spectral coordinates, and we show that for $u$ on the caterpillar line (which corresponds to the limit $(u_{j+1}-u_j)/(u_j - u_{j-1}) \to \infty$ for $j=2, \cdots, n-1$), the real parts of these exponents are given by periods of certain cycles on the degenerate spectral curve $Γ(u_{\rm cat}(t), A)$.
These cycles admit unique deformations for $u$ near the caterpillar line. Using the spectral network theory, we give for $n=2$, and $n=3$ exact WKB predictions for asymptotics of generalized minors in terms of periods of these cycles. Boalch's theorem from Poisson geometry implies that real parts of leading WKB exponents satisfy the rhombus (or interlacing) inequalities. We show that these inequalities are in correspondence with finite webs of the canonical foliation on the root curve $Γ^r(u, A)$, and that they follow from the positivity of the corresponding periods. We conjecture that a similar mechanism applies for $n>3$.
We also outline the relation of the spectral coordinates with the cluster structures considered by Goncharov-Shen, and with ${\mathcal N}=2$ supersymmetric quantum field theories in dimension four associated with some simple quivers.

In this work, we present a method to control a text-to-image generative model to produce training data specifically "useful" for supervised learning. Unlike previous works that employ an open-loop approach and pre-define prompts to generate new data using either a language model or human expertise, we develop an automated closed-loop system which involves two feedback mechanisms. The first mechanism uses feedback from a given supervised model and finds adversarial prompts that result in image generations that maximize the model loss. While these adversarial prompts result in diverse data informed by the model, they are not informed of the target distribution, which can be inefficient. Therefore, we introduce the second feedback mechanism that guides the generation process towards a certain target distribution. We call the method combining these two mechanisms Guided Adversarial Prompts. We perform our evaluations on different tasks, datasets and architectures, with different types of distribution shifts (spuriously correlated data, unseen domains) and demonstrate the efficiency of the proposed feedback mechanisms compared to open-loop approaches.

The solution in sense of Prager&Synge is the alternative to the commonly used notion of the numerical solution, which is considered as a limit of grid functions at mesh refinement. Prager&Synge solution is defined as a hypersphere containing the projection of the true solution of the system of partial differentiation equations (PDE) onto the computational grid and does not use any asymptotics. In the original variant it is determined using orthogonal properties specific for certain equations. In the proposed variant, the center and radius of the hypersphere is estimated using the ensemble of numerical solutions obtained by independent algorithms. This approach may be easily expanded for solutions of an arbitrary system of partial differentiation equations that significantly expands the domain of its applicability. Several options for the computation of the Prager&Synge solution are considered and compared herein. The first one is based on the search for the orthogonal truncation errors and their transformation. The second is based on the orthogonalization of approximation errors obtained using the defect correction method and applies a superposition of numerical solutions. These options are intrusive. In third option (nonintrusive) the information regarding orthogonality of errors, which is crucial for the Prager&Synge approach method, is replaced by information that stems from the properties of the ensemble of numerical solutions, obtained by independent numerical algorithms. The values of the angle between the truncation errors on such ensemble or the distances between elements of the ensemble may be used to replace the orthogonality. The variant based on the width of the ensemble of independent numerical solutions does not require any additional a priori information and is the approximate nonintrusive version of the method based on the orthogonalization of approximation errors.

Drinfeld defined the Knizhinik--Zamolodchikov (KZ) associator $Φ_{\rm KZ}$ by considering the regularized holonomy of the KZ connection along the {\em droit chemin} $[0,1]$. The KZ associator is a group-like element of the free associative algebra with two generators, and it satisfies the pentagon equation.
In this paper, we consider paths on $\mathbb{C}\backslash \{ z_1, \dots, z_n\}$ which start and end at tangential base points. These paths are not necessarily straight, and they may have a finite number of transversal self-intersections. We show that the regularized holonomy $H$ of the KZ connection associated to such a path satisfies a generalization of Drinfeld's pentagon equation. In this equation, we encounter $H$, $Φ_{\rm KZ}$, and new factors associated to self-intersections, to tangential base points, and to the rotation number of the path.

A hyperbolic 0-metric on a surface with boundary is a hyperbolic metric on its interior, exhibiting the boundary behavior of the standard metric on the Poincaré disk. Consider the infinite-dimensional Teichmüller spaces of hyperbolic 0-metrics on oriented surfaces with boundary, up to diffeomorphisms fixing the boundary and homotopic to the identity. We show that these spaces have natural symplectic structures, depending only on the choice of an invariant metric on sl(2,R). We prove that these Teichmüller spaces are Hamiltonian Virasoro spaces for the action of the universal cover of the group of diffeomorphisms of the boundary. We give an explicit formula for the Hill potential on the boundary defining the moment map. Furthermore, using Fenchel-Nielsen parameters we prove a Wolpert formula for the symplectic form, leading to global Darboux coordinates on the Teichmüller space.

To solve large instances, SAT solvers have to rely on heuristics, e.g., choosing a branching variable in DPLL and CDCL solvers. Such heuristics can be improved with machine learning (ML) models; they can reduce the number of steps but usually hinder the running time because useful models are relatively large and slow. We suggest the strategy of making a few initial steps with a trained ML model and then releasing control to classical heuristics; this simplifies cold start for SAT solving and can decrease both the number of steps and overall runtime, but requires a separate decision of when to release control to the solver. Moreover, we introduce a modification of Graph-Q-SAT tailored to SAT problems converted from other domains, e.g., open shop scheduling problems. We validate the feasibility of our approach with random and industrial SAT problems.

Recent findings on CHD$_2$OH and CD$_3$OH toward IRAS 16293-2422 suggest that even fully deuterated methanol, CD$_3$OD, may be detectable as well. However, searches for CD$_3$OD are hampered in particular by the lack of intensity information from a spectroscopic model. The objective of the present investigation is to develop a spectroscopic model of CD$_3$OD in low-lying torsional states that is sufficiently accurate to facilitate searches for this isotopolog in space. We carried out a new measurement campaign for CD$_3$OD involving two spectroscopic laboratories that covers the 34 GHz-1.1 THz range. A torsion-rotation Hamiltonian model based on the rho-axis method was employed for our analysis. Our resulting model describes the ground and first excited torsional states of CD$_3$OD well up to quantum numbers $J \leq 51$ and $K_a \leq 23$. We derived a line list for radio-astronomical observations from this model that is accurate up to at least 1.1 THz and should be sufficient for all types of radio-astronomical searches for this methanol isotopolog. This line list was used to search for CD$_3$OD in data from the Protostellar Interferometric Line Survey of IRAS 16293$-$2422 obtained with the Atacama Large Millimeter/submillimeter Array. While we found several emission features that can be attributed largely to CD$_3$OD, their number is still not sufficiently high enough to establish a clear detection. Nevertheless, the estimate of 2$\times 10^{15}$ cm$^{-2}$ derived for the CD$_3$OD column density may be viewed as an upper limit that can be compared to column densities of CD$_3$OH, CH$_3$OD, and CH$_3$OH. The comparison indicates that the CD$_3$OD column density toward IRAS 16293-2422 is in line with the enhanced D/H ratios observed for multiply deuterated complex organic molecules.

Synthesized micro- and nanotubes composed of transition metal dichalcogenides (TMDCs) such as MoS$_2$ are promising for many applications in nanophotonics, because they combine the abilities to emit strong exciton luminescence and to act as whispering gallery microcavities even at room temperature. In addition to tubes in the form of hollow cylinders, there is an insufficiently-studied class of twisted tubes, the flattened cross section of which rotates along the tube axis. As shown by theoretical analysis, in such nanotubes the interaction of electromagnetic waves excited at opposite sides of the cross section can cause splitting of the whispering gallery modes. By studying micro-photoluminescence spectra measured along individual MoS$_2$ tubes, it has been established that the splitting value, which controls the energies of the split modes, depends exponentially on the aspect ratio of the cross section, which varies in "breathing" tubes, while the relative intensity of the modes in a pair is determined by the angle of rotation of the cross section. These results open up the possibility of creating multifunctional tubular TMDC nanodevices that provide resonant amplification of self-emitting light at adjustable frequencies.

Let $Σ$ be a compact oriented 2-manifold (possibly with boundary), and let $\mathcal G_Σ$ be the linear span of free homotopy classes of closed oriented curves on $Σ$ equipped with the Goldman Lie bracket $[\cdot, \cdot]_\mathrm{Goldman}$ defined in terms of intersections of curves. A theorem of Goldman gives rise to a Lie homomorphism $Φ^\mathrm{even}$ from $(\mathcal G_Σ, [\cdot, \cdot]_\text{Goldman})$ to functions on the moduli space of flat connections $\mathcal{M}_Σ(G)$ for $G=U(N), GL(N)$, equipped with the Atiyah-Bott Poisson bracket.
The space $\mathcal{G}_Σ$ also carries the Turaev Lie cobracket $δ_\mathrm{Turaev}$ defined in terms of self-intersections of curves. In this paper, we address the following natural question: which geometric structure on moduli spaces of flat connections corresponds to the Turaev cobracket?
We give a constructive answer to this question in the following context: for $G$ a Lie supergroup with an odd invariant scalar product on its Lie superalgebra, and for nonempty $\partialΣ$, we show that the moduli space of flat connections $\mathcal{M}_Σ(G)$ carries a natural Batalin-Vilkovisky (BV) structure, given by an explicit combinatorial Fock-Rosly formula. Furthermore, for the queer Lie supergroup $G=Q(N)$, we define a BV-morphism $Φ^\mathrm{odd}\colon \wedge \mathcal{G}_Σ \to \mathrm{Fun}(\mathcal{M}_Σ(Q(N)))$ which replaces the Goldman map, and which captures the information both on the Goldman bracket and on the Turaev cobracket. The map $Φ^\mathrm{odd}$ is constructed using the "odd trace" function on $Q(N)$.

State of the art neural methods for open information extraction (OpenIE) usually extract triplets (or tuples) iteratively in an autoregressive or predicate-based manner in order not to produce duplicates. In this work, we propose a different approach to the problem that can be equally or more successful. Namely, we present a novel single-pass method for OpenIE inspired by object detection algorithms from computer vision. We use an order-agnostic loss based on bipartite matching that forces unique predictions and a Transformer-based encoder-only architecture for sequence labeling. The proposed approach is faster and shows superior or similar performance in comparison with state of the art models on standard benchmarks in terms of both quality metrics and inference time. Our model sets the new state of the art performance of 67.7% F1 on CaRB evaluated as OIE2016 while being 3.35x faster at inference than previous state of the art. We also evaluate the multilingual version of our model in the zero-shot setting for two languages and introduce a strategy for generating synthetic multilingual data to fine-tune the model for each specific language. In this setting, we show performance improvement 15% on multilingual Re-OIE2016, reaching 75% F1 for both Portuguese and Spanish languages. Transition metal dichalcogenides (TMDs) is a promising platform for new generation optoelectronics and nanophotonics due to their unique optical properties. However, in contrast to direct bandgap TMDs monolayers, bulk samples have an indirect bandgap that restricts their application as light emitters. On the other hand, the high refractive index of these materials seems ideal for creating high-quality nanophotonic resonators with a strong Purcell effect. In this work, we fabricate Whispering-gallery mode (WGM) resonators from bulk (i.e., indirect bandgap) MoSe$_2$ using resistless scanning probe lithography and study their optical properties. Micro-photoluminescence($μ$-PL) investigation revealed WGM spectra of resonators with an enhancement factor of 100 compared to pristine flake. Scattering experiments and modeling also confirm the WGM nature of spectra observed. Temperature dependence of PL revealed two components of photoluminescence. The first one quenches with decreasing temperature, the second one does not and becomes dominant. Therefore, this suggests that resonators amplify both direct and temperature-activated indirect PL. Thus, here we demonstrated the novel approach to fabricating nanophotonic resonators from bulk TMDs and obtaining PL from indirect bandgap materials. We believe that the suggested approach and structures have great prospects in nanophotonics.

In this work, we explore the constructive side of online reviews: advice, tips, requests, and suggestions that users provide about goods, venues, services, and other items of interest. To reduce training costs and annotation efforts needed to build a classifier for a specific label set, we present and evaluate several entailment-based zero-shot approaches to suggestion classification in a label-fully-unseen fashion. In particular, we introduce the strategy of assigning target class labels to sentences in English language with user intentions, which significantly improves prediction quality. The proposed strategies are evaluated with a comprehensive experimental study that validated our results both quantitatively and qualitatively.

Solar-type protostars harbor highly deuterated complex organics. While this degree of deuteration may provide important clues in studying the formation of these species, spectroscopic information on multiply deuterated isotopologs is often insufficient. In particular, searches for triply deuterated methanol, CD$_3$OH, are hampered by the lack of intensity information from a spectroscopic model. The aim of the present study is to develop such a model of CD$_3$OH in low-lying torsional states that is sufficiently accurate to facilitate further searches for CD$_3$OH in space. We performed a new measurement campaign for CD$_3$OH involving three spectroscopic laboratories that covers the 34 GHz-1.1 THz and the 20-900 cm$^{-1}$ ranges. The analysis was performed using the torsion-rotation Hamiltonian model based on the rho-axis method. We determined a model that describes the ground and first excited torsional states of CD$_3$OH, up to quantum numbers $J \leqslant 55$ and $K_a \leqslant 23$, and we derived a line list for radio-astronomical observations. This list is accurate up to at least 1.1 THz and should be sufficient for all types of radio-astronomical searches for this methanol isotopolog. It was used to search for CD$_3$OH in data from the Protostellar Interferometric Line Survey of IRAS 16293-2422 using ALMA. CD$_3$OH is securely detected in the data, with a large number of clearly separated and well-reproduced lines. We detected lines belonging to the ground and the first excited torsional states. The derived abundance of CD$_3$OH relative to non-deuterated isotopolog confirm the significant enhancement of this multiply deuterated variant. This finding is in line with other observations of multiply deuterated complex organic molecules and may serve as an important constraint on their formation models.

Peptide bonds, as the molecular bridges that connect amino acids, are crucial to the formation of proteins. Searches and studies of molecules with embedded peptide-like bonds are thus important for the understanding of protein formation in space. Here we report the first tentative detection of propionamide (C2H5CONH2), the largest peptide-like molecule detected in space toward Sagittarius B2(N1) at a position called N1E that is slightly offset from the continuum peak. A new laboratory measurements of the propionamide spectrum were carried out in the 9-461 GHz, which provide good opportunity to check directly for the transition frequencies of detected interstellar lines of propionamide. Our observing result indicates that propionamide emission comes from the warm, compact cores in Sagittarius B2, in which massive protostellars are forming. The column density of propionamide toward Sgr B2(N1E) was derived to be 1.5\times 10^{16} cm^-2, which is three fifths of that of acetamide, and one nineteenth of that of formamide. This detection suggests that large peptide-like molecules can form and survive during star-forming process and may form more complex molecules in the interstellar medium. The detection of propionamide bodes well for the presence of polypeptides, as well as other complex prebiotic molecules in the interstellar medium.

The Inverse Problem for the estimation of a point-wise approximation error occurring at the discretization and solving of the system of partial differential equations is addressed. The set of the differences between the numerical solutions is used as the input data. The analyzed solutions are obtained by the numerical algorithms of the distinct inner structure on the same grid. The approximation error is estimated by the Inverse Problem, which is posed in the variational statement with the zero order Tikhonov regularization. The numerical tests, performed for the two dimensional inviscid compressible flows corresponding to Edney-I and Edney-VI shock wave interference modes, are provided. The analyzed flowfields are computed using ten different numerical algorithms. The comparison of the estimated approximation error and the true error, obtained by subtraction of numerical and analytic solutions, is presented.

The solution generating methods discovered earlier for integrable reductions of Einstein's and Einstein - Maxwell field equations (such as soliton generating techniques, B$\ddot{a}$cklund or symmetry transformations and other group-theoretical methods) can be described explicitly as transformations of especially defined "coordinates" in the infinite-dimensional solution spaces of these equations. In general, the role of such "coordi\-nates", which characterize every local solution, can be performed by the monodromy data of the fundamental solutions of the corresponding spectral problems. However for large subclasses of fields, these can be the values of the Ernst potentials on the boundaries which consist of such degenerate orbits of the space-time isometry group, in which neighbourhood the space-time geometry and electromagnetic fields possess a regular behaviour. In this paper, transformations of such "coordinates", corresponding to different known solution generating procedures are described by simple enough algebraic expressions which do not need any particular choice of the initial (background) solution. Explicit forms of these transformations allow us to find the interrelations between the sets of free parameters, which arise in different solution generating procedures, as well as to determine some physical and geometrical properties of each generating solution even before a detail calculations of all its components.

Deep learning architectures based on self-attention have recently achieved and surpassed state of the art results in the task of unsupervised aspect extraction and topic modeling. While models such as neural attention-based aspect extraction (ABAE) have been successfully applied to user-generated texts, they are less coherent when applied to traditional data sources such as news articles and newsgroup documents. In this work, we introduce a simple approach based on sentence filtering in order to improve topical aspects learned from newsgroups-based content without modifying the basic mechanism of ABAE. We train a probabilistic classifier to distinguish between out-of-domain texts (outer dataset) and in-domain texts (target dataset). Then, during data preparation we filter out sentences that have a low probability of being in-domain and train the neural model on the remaining sentences. The positive effect of sentence filtering on topic coherence is demonstrated in comparison to aspect extraction models trained on unfiltered texts.

The truncation and approximation errors for the set of numerical solutions computed by methods based on the algorithms of different structure are calculated and analyzed for the case of the two-dimensional steady inviscid compressible flow. The truncation errors are calculated using a special postprocessor, while the approximation errors are obtained by the comparison of the numerical solution and the analytic one. The extent of the independence of errors for the numerical solutions may be estimated via the Pearson correlation coefficient that may be geometrically expressed by the angle between errors. Due to this reason, the angles between the approximation errors are computed and related with the corresponding angles between the truncation errors. The angles between the approximation errors are found to be far from zero that enables a posteriori estimation of the error norm. The analysis of the distances between these solutions provides another approach to the estimation of the error. The comparison of the error norms, obtained by these two procedures, is provided that demonstrates the acceptable values of their effectivity indices. The results of the approximation error norm estimation for the supersonic flows, containing shock waves, are presented. The measure concentration phenomenon and the algorithmic randomness give some insights into these results.

The asymptotics of characters $χ_{kλ}(\exp(h/k))$ of irreducible representations of a compact Lie group $G$ for large values of the scaling factor $k$ are given by Duistermaat-Heckman (DH) integrals over coadjoint orbits of $G$. This phenomenon generalises to coadjoint orbits of central extensions of loop groups $\widehat{LG}$ and of diffeomorphisms of the circle $\widehat{\rm Diff}(S^1)$. We show that the asymptotics of characters of integrable modules of affine Kac-Moody algebras and of the Virasoro algebra factorize into a divergent contribution of the standard form and a convergent contribution which can be interpreted as a formal DH orbital integral.
For some Virasoro modules, our results match the formal DH integrals recently computed by Stanford and Witten. In this case, the $k$-scaling has the same origin as the one which gives rise to classical conformal blocks. Furthermore, we consider reduced spaces of Virasoro coadjoint orbits and we suggest a new invariant which replaces symplectic volume in the infinite dimensional situation. We also consider other modules of the Virasoro algebra (in particular, the modules corresponding to minimal models) and we obtain DH-type expressions which do not correspond to any Virasoro coadjoint orbits.
We study volume functions $V(x)$ corresponding to formal DH integrals over coadjoint orbits of the Virasoro algebra. We show that they are related by the Hankel transform to spectral densities $ρ(E)$ recently studied by Saad, Shenker and Stanford.

The dynamic magnetic properties of the Kondo-insulator state in CeFe2Al10 (spin gap, resonance mode) have been investigated using polarized neutrons on a single crystal of pure CeFe2Al10. The results indicate that the magnetic excitations are polarized mainly along the orthorhombic a axis and their dispersion along the orthorhombic c direction could be determined. Polycrystalline samples of Nd- and Rh-doped CeFe2Al0 were also studied by the time-of-flight technique, with the aim of finding out how the low-energy magnetic excitation spectra change upon isoelectronic substitution of the rare-earth (Nd) on the magnetic Ce site or electron do** (Rh) on the transition-element Fe sublattice. The introduction of magnetic Nd impurities strongly modifies the spin gap in the Ce dynamic magnetic response and causes the appearance of a quasielastic signal. The crystal-field excitations of Nd, studied in both LaFe2Al10 and CeFe2Al10, also reveal a significant influence of f-electron hybridization (largest in the case of Ce) on the crystal-field potential. As a function of the Rh concentration, a gradual change is observed from a Kondo-insulator to a metallic Kondo-lattice response, likely reflecting the decrease in the hybridization energy.

Coadjoint orbits and multiplicity free spaces of compact Lie groups are important examples of symplectic manifolds with Hamiltonian groups actions. Constructing action-angle variables on these spaces is a challenging task. A fundamental result in the field is the Guillemin-Sternberg construction of Gelfand-Zeitlin integrable systems for the groups $K=U(n), SO(n)$. Extending these results to groups of other types is one of the goals of this paper.
Partial tropicalizations are Poisson spaces with constant Poisson bracket built using techniques of Poisson-Lie theory and the geometric crystals of Berenstein-Kazhdan. They provide a bridge between dual spaces of Lie algebras ${\rm Lie}(K)^*$ with linear Poisson brackets and polyhedral cones which parametrize the canonical bases of irreducible modules of $G=K^\mathbb{C}$.
We generalize the construction of partial tropicalizations to allow for arbitrary cluster charts, and apply it to questions in symplectic geometry. For each regular coadjoint orbit of a compact group $K$, we construct an exhaustion by symplectic embeddings of toric domains. As a by product we arrive at a conjectured formula for Gromov width of regular coadjoint orbits. We prove similar results for multiplicity free $K$-spaces.

Classical Hamiltonian systems with conserved charges and those with constraints often describe dynamics on a pre-symplectic manifold. Here we show that a pre-symplectic manifold is also the proper stage to describe autonomous energy conserving Hamiltonian time crystals. We explain how the occurrence of a time crystal relates to the wider concept of spontaneously broken symmetries; in the case of a time crystal, the symmetry breaking takes place in a dynamical context. We then analyze in detail two examples of time crystalline Hamiltonian dynamics. The first example is a piecewise linear closed string, with dynamics determined by a Lie-Poisson bracket and Hamiltonian that relates to membrane stability. We explain how the Lie-Poisson brackets descents to a time crystalline pre-symplectic bracket, and we show that the Hamiltonian dynamics supports two phases; in one phase we have a time crystal and in the other phase time crystals are absent. The second example is a discrete Hamiltonian variant of the Q-ball Lagrangian of time dependent non-topological solitons. We explain how a Q-ball becomes a time crystal, and we construct examples of time crystalline Q-balls.

Recent research has shown the advantages of using autoencoders based on deep neural networks for collaborative filtering. In particular, the recently proposed Mult-VAE model, which used the multinomial likelihood variational autoencoders, has shown excellent results for top-N recommendations. In this work, we propose the Recommender VAE (RecVAE) model that originates from our research on regularization techniques for variational autoencoders. RecVAE introduces several novel ideas to improve Mult-VAE, including a novel composite prior distribution for the latent codes, a new approach to setting the $β$ hyperparameter for the $β$-VAE framework, and a new approach to training based on alternating updates. In experimental evaluation, we show that RecVAE significantly outperforms previously proposed autoencoder-based models, including Mult-VAE and RaCT, across classical collaborative filtering datasets, and present a detailed ablation study to assess our new developments. Methyl mercaptan (CH3SH) is a known interstellar molecule with abundances high enough that the detection of some of its minor isotopologues is promising. The present study aims at providing accurate spectroscopic parameters for the (13)CH3SH isotopologue to facilitate its identification in the interstellar medium at millimetre and submillimetre wavelengths. Through careful analysis of recent CH3SH spectra from 49-510 GHz and 1.1-1.5 THz recorded at natural isotopic composition, extensive assignments were possible not only for the ground torsional state of (13)CH3SH, but also in the first and second excited states. The torsion-rotation spectrum displays complex structure due to the large-amplitude internal rotation of the (13)CH3 group, similar to the main and other minor isotopic species of methyl mercaptan. The assigned transition frequencies have been fitted to within experimental error with a 52-parameter model employing the RAM36 programme. With predictions based on this fit, (13)CH3SH was searched for in spectra from the Atacama Large Millimetre/submillimetre Array (ALMA) towards the Galactic centre source Sgr B2(N2). Several transitions were expected to be observable, but all of them turned out to be severely blended with emission from other species, which prevents us from identifying (13)CH3SH in this source.

The new data, involving torsion-rotation transitions with $J$ up to 61 and $K_a$ up to 18, were combined with previously published measurements and fit using the rho-axis-method torsion-rotation Hamiltonian. The final fit used 124 parameters to give an overall weighted root-mean-square deviation of 0.72 for the dataset consisting of 6965 microwave (MW) and 16345 far-infrared line frequencies sampling transitions within and between the ground, first, and second excited torsional states. This investigation presents a two-fold expansion in the $J$ quantum numbers and a significant improvement in the fit quality, especially for the MW part of the data, thus allowing us to provide more reliable predictions to support astronomical observations.

Methyl mercaptan (CH$_3$SH) is an important sulfur-bearing species in the interstellar medium, terrestrial environment, and potentially in planetary atmospheres. The aim of the present study is to provide accurate spectroscopic parameters for the most abundant minor isotopolog CH$_3$$^{34}$SH to support radio astronomical observations at millimeter and submillimeter wavelengths. The rotational spectrum of CH$_3$$^{34}$SH, which is complicated by the large-amplitude internal rotation of the CH$_3$ group versus the $^{34}$SH frame, was investigated in the 49$-$510 GHz and 1.1$-$1.5 THz frequency ranges in natural isotopic abundance. The analysis of the spectrum was performed up to the second excited torsional state, and the obtained data were modeled with the RAM36 program. A fit within experimental accuracy was obtained with a RAM Hamiltonian model that uses 72 parameters. Predictions based on this fit are used to search for CH$_3$$^{34}$SH with the Atacama Large Millimeter/submillimeter Array (ALMA) toward the hot molecular core Sgr B2(N2), but blends with emission lines of other species prevent its firm identification in this source.

Strain engineering is a powerful tool for tuning physical properties of 2D materials, including monolayer transition metal dichalcogenides (TMD) -- direct bandgap semiconductors with strong excitonic response. Here, we demonstrate an approach for local characterization of strain-induced modification of excitonic photoluminescence in TMD-based materials. We reversibly stress a monolayer of MoSe$_2$ with an AFM tip and perform spatio-spectral map** of the excitonic photoluminescence in the vicinity of the indentation point. To fully reproduce the experimental data, we introduce the linear dependence of the exciton energy and corresponding photoluminescence intensity on the induced strain. Careful account for the optical resolution allows extracting these quantities with good agreement with the previous measurements, which involved macroscopic sample deformation. Our approach is a powerful tool for the study of local optomechanical properties of 2D direct bandgap semiconductors with strong excitonic response.

In the static case such equilibrium is possible only if one of the sources is a black hole and another one is a naked singularity. We define the notion of physical equilibrium in general (stationary) case when both components of a binary system are rotating and show that such system containing a Kerr-Newman black hole and a Kerr-Newman naked singularity also can stay in physical equilibrium. The similar question about the system of two charged rotating black holes or two rotating overextreme charged sources still remains open.

We propose a novel end-to-end Aspect-based Rating Prediction model (AspeRa) that estimates user rating based on review texts for the items and at the same time discovers coherent aspects of reviews that can be used to explain predictions or profile users. The AspeRa model uses max-margin losses for joint item and user embedding learning and a dual-headed architecture; it significantly outperforms recently proposed state-of-the-art models such as DeepCoNN, HFT, NARRE, and TransRev on two real world data sets of user reviews. With qualitative examination of the aspects and quantitative evaluation of rating prediction models based on these aspects, we show how aspect embeddings can be used in a recommender system.

In this paper, we prove the converse: if $F$ induces an isomorphism $\mathfrak{g}(Σ) \cong {\rm gr} \, \mathfrak{g}(Σ)$, then it satisfies the Kashiwara-Vergne equations up to conjugation. As an application of our results, we compute the degree one non-commutative Poisson cohomology of the Kirillov-Kostant-Souriau double bracket. The main technical tool used in the paper is a novel characterization of conjugacy classes in the free Lie algebra in terms of cyclic words.

The symplectic form $ω_ξ^0$ is identified with the natural $K$-invariant symplectic form on the $K$ coadjoint orbit corresponding to $ξ$. The cohomology class of $ω_ξ^s$ is independent of $s$ for a fixed value of $ξ$.
In this paper, we show that as $s\to -\infty$, the symplectic volume of $ω_ξ^s$ concentrates in arbitrarily small neighbourhoods of the smallest Schubert cell in $K/T \cong G/B$. This strengthens earlier results [9,10] and is a step towards a conjectured construction of global action-angle coordinates on $Lie(K)^*$ [4, Conjecture 1.1].

Let $G$ be a connected semisimple Lie group. There are two natural duality constructions that assign to it the Langlands dual group $G^\vee$ and the Poisson-Lie dual group $G^*$. The main result of this paper is the following relation between these two objects: the integral cone defined by the cluster structure and the Berenstein-Kazhdan potential on the double Bruhat cell $G^{\vee; w_0, e} \subset G^\vee$ is isomorphic to the integral Bohr-Sommerfeld cone defined by the Poisson structure on the partial tropicalization of $K^* \subset G^*$ (the Poisson-Lie dual of the compact form $K \subset G$). By [5], the first cone parametrizes the canonical bases of irreducible $G$-modules. The corresponding points in the second cone belong to integral symplectic leaves of the partial tropicalization labeled by the highest weight of the representation. As a by-product of our construction, we show that symplectic volumes of generic symplectic leaves in the partial tropicalization of $K^*$ are equal to symplectic volumes of the corresponding coadjoint orbits in $\operatorname{Lie}(K)^*$.
To achieve these goals, we make use of (Langlands dual) double cluster varieties defined by Fock and Goncharov [9]. These are pairs of cluster varieties whose seed matrices are transpose to each other. There is a naturally defined isomorphism between their tropicalizations. The isomorphism between the cones described above is a particular instance of such an isomorphism associated to the double Bruhat cells $G^{w_0, e} \subset G$ and $G^{\vee; w_0, e} \subset G^\vee$.

For a compact oriented surface $Σ$ of genus $g$ with $n+1$ boundary components, the space $\mathfrak{g}(Σ)$ spanned by free homotopy classes of loops in $Σ$ carries the structure of a Lie bialgebra equipped with a natural decreasing filtration, whose structure morphisms are called the Goldman bracket and the (framed) Turaev cobracket.
We address the following Goldman-Turaev (GT) formality problem: construct a Lie bialgebra homomorphism $θ$ from $\mathfrak{g}(Σ)$ to its associated graded ${\rm gr}\, \mathfrak{g}(Σ)$ such that ${\rm gr} \, θ= {\rm id}$. In order to solve it, we define a family of higher genus Kashiwara-Vergne (KV) problems for an element $F\in {\rm Aut}(L)$, where $L$ is a free Lie algebra. In the case of $g=0$ and $n=2$, it is the classical KV problem from Lie theory. For $g>0$, these KV problems are new.
We show that an element $F$ induces a GT formality map if and only if it is a solution of the KV problem. A crucial step in solving the higher genus KV problem is to construct solutions for the case of $g=1$ and $n=1$ in terms of certain elliptic associators following Enriquez. By solving the KV problem, we establish the GT formality for every $g$ and $n$, with the exception of some framings for $g=1$ in which case the GT formality actually does not hold. Furthermore, we introduce pro-unipotent groups ${\rm KV}$ and ${\rm KRV}$ which act on the space of solutions of the KV problem freely and transitively. There are injective maps ${\rm GT}_1\to {\rm KV}, {\rm GRT}_1\to {\rm KRV}$ from Grothendieck-Teichmüller groups.
As an application, we show that the Johnson obstruction given by the Turaev cobracket coincides with the one given by the Enomoto-Satoh trace. As part of our study, we prove a uniqueness theorem for non-commutative divergence cocycles on the group algebra of a free group which is of independent value.

The pull-back of these coordinates to $\mathfrak{u}(n)^*$ recovers the Gelfand-Zeitlin integrable system of Guillemin-Sternberg. As a by-product of our proof, we show that the Lagrangian tori of the Flaschka-Ratiu integrable system on the set of upper triangular matrices meet the set of totally positive matrices for sufficiently large action coordinates.

About 30 years ago, in a joint work with L. Faddeev we introduced a geometric action on coadjoint orbits. This action, in particular, gives rise to a path integral formula for characters of the corresponding group $G$. In this paper, we revisit this topic and observe that the geometric action is a 1-cocycle for the loop group $LG$. In the case of $G$ being a central extension, we construct Wess-Zumino (WZ) type terms and show that the cocycle property of the geometric action gives rise to a Polyakov-Wiegmann (PW) formula. In particular, we obtain a PW type formula for the Polyakov's gravitational WZ action. After quantization, this formula leads to an interesting bulk-boundary decoupling phenomenon previously observed in the WZW model. We explain that this decoupling is a general feature of the Wess-Zumino terms obtained from geometric actions, and that in this case the path integral is expressed in terms of the 2-cocycle which defines the central extension. The finding implies a unified mechanism of the Fermi level pinning for such surfaces. Further investigation, performed by Raman scattering and photoluminescence spectroscopy, shows that photooxidation of the Al$_{x}$Ga$_{1-x}$As and Ga$_{x}$In$_{1-x}$As nanowires leads to the accumulation of an excess arsenic on their crystal surfaces which is accompanied by a strong decrease of the band-edge photoluminescence intensity. We conclude that the surface excess arsenic in crystalline or amorphous forms is responsible for the Fermi level pinning at oxidized (110) surfaces of III-As nanowires.

We introduce a notion of weakly log-canonical Poisson structures on positive varieties with potentials. Such a Poisson structure is log-canonical up to terms dominated by the potential. To a compatible real form of a weakly log-canonical Poisson variety we assign an integrable system on the product of a certain real convex polyhedral cone (the tropicalization of the variety) and a compact torus.
We apply this theory to the dual Poisson-Lie group $G^*$ of a simply-connected semisimple complex Lie group $G$. We define a positive structure and potential on $G^*$ and show that the natural Poisson-Lie structure on $G^*$ is weakly log-canonical with respect to this positive structure and potential.
For $K \subset G$ the compact real form, we show that the real form $K^* \subset G^*$ is compatible and prove that the corresponding integrable system is defined on the product of the decorated string cone and the compact torus of dimension $\frac{1}{2}({\rm dim} \, G - {\rm rank} \, G)$.
