We explore the influence of the axion-plasmon on the optical properties of the charged black hole and show how the axion-plasmon coupling modifies the motion of photons around the charged black hole. We then explore in details observational effects such as the black hole shadow, the gravitational deflection angle, Einstein rings and shadow images obtained by radially infalling gas on a black hole within a plasma medium. An important finding is that the intensity of the electromagnetic radiation increases with the increase of charge and the size of the black hole shadow decreases with increase of the electric charge for a fixed axion-plasmon coupling values when observed from sufficiently large distance. Overall, for a constant value of charge the optical appearance of the black hole shadow depends on the surrounding plasma model and the largest shadow radius if found for the case of no plasma, while the smallest shadow radius is found for the case of homogeneous plasma.

This study provides a comprehensive analytical investigation of the bound and unbound motion of magnetized particles orbiting a Schwarzschild black hole immersed in an external asymptotically uniform magnetic field, which includes all conceivable types of bounded and unbounded orbits. In particular, for planetary orbits, we perform a comparative analysis of our findings with the observed position of the S2 star carrying magnetic dipole moment around Sagittarius A* (Sgr A*). We found maximum and minimum values for the parameter of magnetic interaction between the magnetic dipole of the star and the external magnetic field, as well as the energy and angular momentum of the S2 star. As a result, we obtain estimations of the magnetic dipole of the star in order of $10^6 \rm \ G\cdot cm^{3}$. Additionally, we explore deflecting trajectories akin to gravitational Rutherford scattering. In obtaining the solutions for the orbital equations, we articulate the elliptic integrals and Jacobi elliptic functions, and our study is augmented by illustrative figures and simulations.

This study explores the effect of charge on a special astronomical object known as a gravastar, which is viewed as an alternative to a black hole. Based on the conjecture put out by Mazur and Mottola in general relativity, the study primarily focuses on the consequences of $f(Q)$ gravity. The internal domain, the intermediate shell, and the external domain are the three separate sections that make up a gravastar. Using a particular $f(Q)$ gravity model that includes conformal Killing vectors to analyze these areas, we discover that the inner domain shows a repulsive force on the spherical shell since it is assumed that pressure is equivalent to negative energy density. The intermediate shell is made up of ultrarelativistic plasma and pressure, which is proportional to energy density and balances the repulsive force from the interior domain. For exterior region, we use two appraoches as first we calculate the vacuum exact solution and secondly considered as the Reissner-Nordström metric. Then, we match these spacetimes through junction condition and explore the stability constraints for both cases. Our results show that charged gravastar solutions with non-singular physical parameters including length, energy, entropy, and equation of state parameter are physically realistic.

A way to test electromagnetic field and spacetime properties around black holes is by considering the dynamics of test particles. In fact, in real astrophysical scenarios, it is hard to determine spacetime geometry which is dominating due to degeneracy gravitational effects in parameters of gravity theories. In this work, we study for the first time the dynamics of spinning particles that have magnetic dipole moments around Schwarzschild black holes immersed in an external asymptotically uniform magnetic field using the Mathisson-Papapetrou-Dixon (MPD) equation. There are two combined interactions: gravitational interaction between the spin of the particle and (electro)magnetic interaction between the external magnetic field and the magnetic dipole moment of the particle to be taken into account. First, we derive the effective potential of the test spinning magnetized particles in motion around the black hole. We also study the combined effects of spin and magnetic interactions on innermost stable circular orbits (ISCOs), the energy, and angular momentum of the particles at ISCO together with superluminal bounds. We investigated the collision of the particles and evaluated the center-of-mass energy in the collisions. Finally, we consider various cases in which neutron stars and rotating stellar mass black holes can be treated as spinning magnetized particles, evaluating the effects of the spin and magnetic moment of objects around supermassive and intermediate-mass black holes.

In this context, we investigate the motion of test particles and their harmonic oscillations in the spacetime of non-rotating hairy black holes (BHs) in Hordeski gravity, together with astrophysical applications of quasiperiodic oscillations (QPOs). We show possible values of upper and lower frequencies of twin-peak QPOs which may occur in the orbits from innermost stable circular orbits to infinity for various values of the Horndeski parameter $q$ in relativistic precession, warped disk models, and three different sub-models of the epicyclic resonant model. We also study the behaviour of the QPO orbits and their position relative to innermost stable circular orbits (ISCOs) with respect to different values of the parameter $q$. {It is obtained that at a critical value of the Horndeski parameter ISCO radius takes $6M$ which has been in the pure Schwarzschild case.} Finally, we obtain mass constraints of the central BH of microquasars GRS 1915+105 and XTE 1550-564 at the GR limit and the possible value of the Horndeski parameter in the frame of the above-mentioned QPO models. The analysis of orbits of twin peak QPOs with the ratio of upper and lower frequencies 3:2, around the BHs in the frame of relativistic precession (RP) and epicyclic resonance (ER4) QPO models have shown that the orbits locate close to the ISCO. The distance between QPO orbits and ISCO is obtained to be less than the error of the observations.

The geometric Proca, equivalent of the non-metricity vector in the torsion-free affine connection, qualifies to be a distinctive signature of the affine curvature. In the present work, we explore how shadow and photon motion near black holes can be used to probe the geometric Proca field. To this end, we derive static spherically symmetric field equations of this Einstein-geometric Proca theory, and show that it admits black hole solutions in asymptotically AdS background. We perform a detailed study of the optical properties and shadow of this black hole and contrast them with the observational data by considering black hole environments with and without plasma. As a useful astrophysical application, we discuss constraints on the Proca field parameters using the observed angular size of the shadow of supermassive black holes M87$^*$ and Sgr A$^*$ in both vacuum and plasma cases. Overall, we find that the geometric Proca can be probed via the black hole observations.

We consider a black hole mimicker given by an exact solution of the stationary and axially symmetric field equations in vacuum known as the $δ$-Kerr metric. We study its optical properties based on a ray-tracing code for photon motion and characterize the apparent shape of the shadow of the compact object and compare it with the Kerr black hole. For the purpose of obtaining qualitative estimates related to the observed shadow of the supermassive compact object in the galaxy M87 we focus on values of the object's spin $a$ and inclination angle of observation $θ_0$ close to the measured values. We then apply the model to the shadow of the $δ$-Kerr metric to obtain onstraints on the allowed values of the deformation parameter. We show that based uniquely on one set of observations of the shadow's boundary it is not possible to exclude the $δ$-Kerr solution as a viable source for the geometry in the exterior of the compact object.

The symmergent gravity, an emergent gravity model in which gravity emerges in a way restoring the gauge symmetries and stabilizing the Higgs boson mass, possesses a quadratic-curvature term with a loop-induced coupling proportional to the boson-fermion number difference. We investigated boson-fermion number difference and black hole parameters in symmergent gravity by utilizing the values of various observables. In this regard, we investigated particle dynamics and obtained Keplerian frequencies describing the harmonic oscillations. We determined quasiperiodic oscillations about such orbits by utilizing relativistic precession, warped disk, and epicyclic resonant models. We studied weak deflection angle and planetary perihelion shift and determined bounds on symmergent gravity parameters. We computed shadow radius for both static and co-moving observers near and far from the symmergent black hole and revealed the sensitivity of these observers to the model parameters. This work is devoted to the study of the optical properties of the charged-rotating-NUT-Kiselev (CRNK) black hole in the Rastall theory of gravity. By investigating the motion of photons in the CRNK black hole spacetime in the Rastall gravity we show that the deflection angle of photons due to the gravitational lensing is mostly influenced by the NUT charge, parameter of the equation of state for the quintessence and the quintessential intensity. We observe that the effects of the rest of the spacetime parameters are negligible on the deflection angle. We present the shape of the shadow cast by the CRNK black hole in the Rastall gravity for various values of the spacetime parameters. We demonstrate that spin parameter $a$ of the black hole changes the position and size of the shadow of the black hole very little. While changing the values of the rest of the spacetime parameters can alter the shape and the size of the observed shadow of the black hole significantly. We observe that the radius of the black hole shadow and the deflection angle of a photon are bigger for the CRNK black hole in the Rastall gravity, as compared with the case of the Kerr black hole. Lastly, we show how the spacetime parameters can change the observables $R_s$ and $δ_s$, being the average radius of the shadow and the distortion parameter that measures the deviation of the shape of the shadow from a perfect circle with radius $R_s$, respectively. Our results show that in most scenarios, for bigger values of $R_s$ we get smaller values of the parameter $δ_s$.

Using the Mathisson-Papapetrous-Dixon equations, we study the effective potential, circular orbits, and the innermost stable circular orbit (ISCO) of spinning test particles. We found that both the particle and wormhole spins affect the location of the ISCO significantly. On the other hand, Similar to the non-rotating case, we also found two possible configurations in the effective potential: plus and minus. Furthermore, the minimum value of the effective potential is not at the throat due to its spin, in contrast to the motion of the non-spinning test particles in a non-rotating wormhole, where the effective potential is symmetric, and its minimum value is at the throat. In the case of the ISCO, we found that it increases as the spin of the wormhole a increases, in contrast to black holes where the presence of spin decreases the value of the ISCO. Finally, since the dynamical four-momentum and kinematical four-velocity of the spinning particle are not always parallel, we consider the superluminal bound, finding that the allowed values of s change as the wormhole's spin a increases.

The optical properties of rotating black holes in Kaluza-Klein theory described by the total mass, spin, and electric and magnetic charges are investigated in detail. Using a developed general relativistic ray-tracing code to calculate the motion of photons, the numerous shadows of Kaluza-Klein black holes are generated. The properties of the black hole shadow and the light deflection angle around these black holes are also studied in order to put constraints on the parameters of Kaluza-Klein black holes using M87* shadow observations. The possibility of imposing constraints on Kaluza-Klein black holes using shadow observations is investigated. Moreover, we find that small charges (electric and magnetic) of the black hole can meet these constraints. We conclude that with the current precision of the M87* black hole shadow image observation by the EHT collaboration, the shadow observations of Kaluza-Klein black holes are indistinguishable from that of the Kerr black hole. Much better observational accuracy than the current capabilities of the EHT collaboration are required in order to place verified constraints on the parameters of modified theories of gravity in the strong field regime.

The spacetime properties in the exterior of the Kerr-Newman-NUT-Kiselev black hole in the Rastall theory of gravity, through particle dynamics are investigated with the aim to find possible degeneracy of the different black hole parameters. We show that the effective potential, the energy, and the angular momentum of a test particle moving in the spacetime of such a black hole strongly depend on the central black hole parameters. We also evaluate the innermost stable circular orbit radii of test particles and show how the spacetime parameters can act on them. Further, we show the results for the fundamental frequencies of test particles moving at small distances from the circular orbits in the equatorial plane. We demonstrate that change in the Rastall parameter $κλ$, can make the radial epicyclic frequency to become zero at larger distances from the central source. We also notice that for the vertical epicyclic frequencies, in the case of the Kerr-Newman-NUT-Kiselev black hole in the Rastall theory of gravity lower frequencies are observed as compared to the frequencies observed in the case of the Kerr black hole. Finally, we show that for the Kerr-Newman-NUT-Kiselev black hole in the Rastall gravity, the Keplerian frequencies are almost identical with the frequencies noticed in the case of the Kerr black hole and the difference between the two can only be observed in the regions in a very close vicinity to the central black hole, studied in the present work.

In this paper, we study the influence of the axion-plasmon, as proposed in (Phys. Rev. Lett. 120, 181803 (2018)) on the optical properties of the Schwarzschild black hole. Our aim is to provide a test to detect the effects of a fixed axion background using black holes. To accomplish our goal, we explore the effect of the axion-plasmon coupling on the motion of photons around the Schwarzschild black hole and check the possibility of observing those effects upon the black hole shadow, the gravitational deflection angle, Einstein rings and shadow images obtained by radially infalling gas on a black hole within a plasma medium. We find that these quantities are indeed affected by the axion-plasmon coupling parameters which consequently generalize some of the well-known results in the literature. It is shown that the size of the black hole shadow decreases with increasing axion-plasmon if observed from sufficiently large distance.

We find that the presence of the coupling constant serves as an attractive gravitational charge, shifting the innermost stable circular orbits outward with respect to the one for this theory in 4 dimensions. Further we consider the gravitational lensing, to test the GB gravity in (2+1) dimensions and show that the presence of GB parameter causes the bending angle to grow up first with the increase of the inverse of closest approach distance, $u_0$, then have its maximum value for specific $u_0^*$, and then reduce until zero. We also show that increase in the value of the GB parameter makes the bending angle smaller and the increase in the absolute value of the negative cosmological constant produces opposite effect on this angle.

We study the effects of gravitational lensing on neutrino oscillations in the $γ$-spacetime which describes a static, axially-symmetric and asymptotically flat solution of the Einstein's field equations in vacuum. Using the quantum-mechanical treatment for relativistic neutrinos, we calculate the phase of neutrino oscillations in this spacetime by considering both radial and non-radial propagation. We show the dependence of the oscillation probability on the absolute neutrino masses, which in the two-flavor case also depends upon the sign of mass squared difference, in sharp contrast with the well-known results of vacuum oscillation in flat spacetime. We also show the effects of the deformation parameter $γ$ on neutrino oscillations and reproduce previously known results for the Schwarzschild metric. We then extend these to a more realistic three flavors neutrino scenario and study the effects of the parameter $γ$ and the lightest neutrino mass while using best fit values of neutrino oscillation parameters.

The motion of spinning test particles around a traversable wormhole is investigated using the Mathisson Papapetrous Dixon equations, which couple the Riemann tensor with the antisymmetric tensor $S^{ab}$, related to the spin of the particle. Hence, we study the effective potential, circular orbits, and innermost stable circular orbit ISCO of spinning particles. We found that the spin affects significantly the location of the ISCO, in contrast with the motion of nonspinning particles, where the ISCO is the same in both the upper and lower universes. On the other hand, since the dynamical fourmomentum and kinematical fourvelocity of the spinning particle are not always parallel, we also consider a superluminal bound on the particles motion. In the case of circular orbits at the ISCO, we found that the motion of particles with an adimensional spin parameter lower greater than $s=-1.5$ $(1.5)$ is forbidden. The spin interaction becomes important for Kerr black hole orbiting super massive wormholes SMWH.

We investigate the dynamics of neutral and charged test particles around axially symmetric magnetized black hole spacetime. We consider its electromagnetic field in the black hole vicinity and study its impact on the dynamics of test particles. We determine the radius of the innermost stable circular orbit (ISCO) for neutral and charged test particles and show that the combined effect of black hole electric charge and magnetic field strongly affects the ISCO radius, thus shrinking its values. We also show that the ISCO radius of positively (negatively) charged particle initially gets increased (decreased) and then gets radically altered with an increase in the value of both black hole electric charge and test particle charge. It turns out that the repulsive (attractive) Coulomb force dominates over the Lorentz force arising from the black hole magnetic field. Typically, black hole rotation causes axially symmetric spacetime case. Similarly, it turns out that a magnetized black hole solution also causes axially symmetric spacetime as a consequence of the presence of magnetic field. We study a degeneracy for the value of the ISCO between the Kerr and the magnetized Reissner-Nordström black hole geometries and show that the combined effects of black hole charge and magnetic field can be mimicked by Kerr spacetime with the spin parameter up to $a/M\approx 0.8$. Finally, we consider the center of mass energy of colliding particles and show that an increase in the values of black hole magnetic field and electric charge leads to high center of mass energy extracted by collision of two particles.

In the present paper, we have investigated the motion of charged particles together with magnetic dipoles to determine how well the spacetime deviation parameter $ε$ and external uniform magnetic field can mimic the spin of a rotating Kerr black hole. Investigation of charged particle motion has shown that the deviation parameter $ε$ in the absence of external magnetic fields can mimic the rotation parameter of Kerr spacetime up to $a/M \approx0.5$. The combination of external magnetic field and deviation parameter can do even a better job mimicking the rotation parameter up to $a/M\simeq0.93$, which corresponds to the rapidly rotating case. Study of the dynamics of magnetic dipoles around quasi-Schwarzschild black holes in the external magnetic field has shown that there are degeneracy values of ISCO radius of test particles at $ε_{cr}>ε\geq 0.35$ which may lead to two different values of the innermost stable circular orbit (ISCO) radius. When the deviation parameter is in the range of $ε\in (-1,\ 1)$, it can mimic the spin of a rotating Kerr black hole in the range $a/M \in (0.0537, \ 0.3952)$ for magnetic dipoles with values of magnetic coupling parameter $β\in [-0.25,\ 0.25]$ in corotating orbits.

Observations of shadows and ringdown waveforms will reveal the nature of black holes. In this paper, we study the motion of photons in a general parametrized metric beyond the Kerr hypothesis. We investigated the radius and frequency of the photon circular orbits on the equatorial plane and obtained fitted formula with varied parameters. The Lyapunov exponent which connects to the decay rate of the ringdown amplitude is also calculated. We also analyzed the shape of shadow with full parameters of the generally axisymmetric metric. We study the dynamics of (i) neutral test particles, (ii) magnetically charged test particles, and (iii) test magnetic dipole around a regular Bardeen black hole surrounded by perfect fluid dark matter (PFDM). It has been shown how the magnetic charge of the black hole and the parameter of the surrounding PFDM can influence the innermost stable circular orbit (ISCO) radius of a test particle. We have found that the ISCO radius is strongly affected as a consequence of the combined effect of the magnetic charge parameter and the perfect fluid dark matter. The black hole magnetic charge parameter $g$ and the combined effect of perfect fluid dark matter can mimic the black hole rotation parameter up to $a/M\approx 0.9$. It has been observed that the ISCO for magnetic dipole disappears at the values exceeding the calculated upper value for the magnetic interaction parameter $β$. The upper limit decreases with the increase of both the dark matter and magnetic charge parameters. Finally, as an astrophysical application, we have analyzed degeneracy effects of spin of Kerr black holes and magnetic charge of regular Bardeen black holes for the different values of the dark matter parameter providing exactly the same value for ISCO radius of a magnetic dipole with the same value of the parameter $β=10.2$ of the magnetar called PSR J1745-2900 orbiting around supermassive black hole Sagittarius A*.

In this paper we have investigated the dynamics of neutral, electrically charged and magnetized particles around renormalized group improved (RGI) Schwarzschild black hole in the presence of external asymptotically uniform magnetic field. We have analyzed the spacetime structure around RGI black hole by investigating Ricci, the square of Ricci tensor and Kretschmann curvature scalars and shown that only in the case when the parameter $γ=0$ the curvature becomes infinite at the center of the black hole, while for non-zero values of $γ$ parameter the black hole curvature reflects the properties of regular black hole. Analyzing the innermost stable circular orbits of test neutral particles around RGI black hole and comparing with the results for rotating Kerr black hole we have shown that RGI black hole parameters can mimic the rotation parameter of Kerr black hole upto $a/M \lesssim 0.31$ providing the same ISCO radius. Since according to the astronomical observations of the accretion disks confirm that the astrophysical black holes are rapidly rotating with the spin parameter upto $a/M \sim 0.99$ one may conclude that the effects of parameters of RGI Schwarzschild black hole on the circular orbits of the neutral particles can not mimic the Kerr black hole. Then the Hamilton-Jacobi equation has been used to analyze the charged and magnetized particles motion near the RGI black hole in the presence of the strong interaction between external asymptotically uniform magnetic (electromagnetic) field and magnetized (electrically charged) particle. We have shown that RGI black hole parameters quantitatively change the dynamics of the charged and magnetized particles, in particular ISCO radius of the particles decreases with increasing the parameter $λ$, while the increase of the parameter $γ$ causes to increase of it.

In the work, we have presented detailed analyses of the event horizon and curvature properties of spacetime around a regular black hole in modified gravity so-called regular MOG black hole. The motion of neutral, electrically charged and magnetized particles with magnetic dipole moment, in the close environment of the regular MOG black hole immersed in an external asymptotically uniform magnetic field has been also explored. Through the study on the motion of the neutral test particle, we have obtained that the positive (negative) values of the MOG parameter mimic the spin of a rotating Kerr black hole giving the same values for innermost stable pro-grade (retrograde) orbits of the particles in the range of the spin parameter $a/M \in(-0.4125, \ 0.6946)$. The efficiency of energy release from the accretion disk by the Novikov-Thorne model has been calculated and shown that the efficiency is linearly proportional to the increase of the MOG parameter $α$, and exceeds up to 15 \% at the critical limiting value of the MOG parameter $α_{\rm cr}$. The study of the charged particles dynamics has shown that innermost stable circular orbits (ISCOs) of the particle increases with the increase of the MOG parameter, while the increase of cyclotron frequency being responsible to the magnetic interaction causes the decrease of the latter. Moreover, the dynamics of magnetic dipoles has shown that the increase of the MOG and the magnetic coupling parameters lead to an increase of the inner radius and the width of the accretion disk consisting of magnetized particles. Finally, we have focused on showing the range of values of the magnetic coupling parameter causing the orbits to be stable.

This paper investigates the motion and acceleration of a particle that is electrically and magnetically charged, which rotates around a cylindrical black hole in the presence of an external asymptotically uniform magnetic field parallel to the z axis. Basically, the work considers the circular orbits of particles rotating around the central object and studies the dependence of the most internal stable circular orbits (ISCO) on the so-called magnetic coupling parameters, which are responsible for the interaction between the external magnetic field and magnetized and charged particles. It is also shown that the ISCO radius decreases with increasing magnetized parameter. Therefore, collisions of magnetized particles around a cylindrical black hole immersed in an external magnetic field were also studied, and it was shown that the magnetic field can act as a particle accelerator around non-rotating cylindrical black holes.

This work is devoted to study the effects of Einstein-Æther gravity on the dynamics of magnetized particles orbiting a static, spherically symmetric and uncharged black hole immersed in an external asymptotically uniform magnetic field in both comoving and proper observers frames. The analysis is carried out by varying the free parameters $c_{13}$ and $c_{14}$ of the Einstein-Æther theory and noticing their impacts on the particle trajectories, radii of the innermost stable circular orbits (ISCOs), and the amount of center-of-mass energy produced as a result of the collision. The strength of the magnetic field and the location of circular orbits is significantly affected by varying the above free parameters. We have also made detailed comparisons between the effects of parameters of Einstein-Æther and spin of rotating Kerr black holes on ISCO followed by magnetized particles and noticed that both black holes depict similar behaviour for suitable values of $c_{13}$, $c_{14}$, spin and the magnetic coupling parameters which provide exactly the same values for the ISCO. Finally, we have analysed the cases when a static Æther black hole can be described as Schwarzschild black hole in modified gravity (MOG) with the corresponding values of the parameters of the black holes.

In this paper, we explore the test particle motion around a black hole in Einstein-Maxwell-scalar (EMS) theory using three different black hole solutions within this theory. We have first analyzed the spacetime curvature structure of these solutions and shown the existence of two singularities and the first one is at the center $r=0$. In black hole spacetime, there are two regions divided by the critical value of the cosmological parameter $λ_0$. The photon sphere around the black hole in EMS theory has also been studied and found that it does not depend on cosmological parameter $λ$. We have analyzed the innermost stable circular orbits (ISCO) around the black hole and shown that for all solutions ISCO radius for neutral particle decreases with the increase of black hole charge. We have also studied the charged particle motion around the black hole where charged particle motion is considered in the presence of the gravitational field and the Coulomb potential. It is shown that ISCO radius for charged particles increases depending on the selected value of the coupling parameter which is in contradiction with observations of the inner edge of the accretion disks of the astrophysical black holes and can be used as a powerful tool to rule out the EMS theory from consideration for the gravitational field theory. It is also studied the fundamental frequencies governed by test particle orbiting around the black hole in EMS theory. Finally, as a test of black hole solution in EMS theory ISCO radii is compared with that in Kerr black hole and found that the spin parameter of Kerr can be mimic up to $a/M\simeq 0.936$.

We study the motion of electrically charged particles, magnetic monopoles, and magnetic dipoles around electrically and magnetically charged stringy black holes. From the analysis of the radius of the innermost stable circular orbit (ISCO) of electrically charged particles, we show that the electric charge $Q$ of stringy black holes can mimic well the spin of Kerr black holes; the black hole magnetic charge $Q_m$ can mimic spins up to $a_* \simeq 0.85$ for magnetic dipoles; the magnetic charge parameter $g$ of a magnetic monopole can mimic spins up to $a_* \simeq 0.8$. This is due to the destructive character of the magnetic field and such a result excludes the existence of an appreciable black hole magnetic charge in astrophysical black holes from the observation of rapidly rotating objects with dimensionless spin up to $a_* \simeq 0.99$. We then consider the magnetar SGR (PSR) J1745-2900 as a magnetic dipole orbiting the supermassive black hole Sagittarius A* (Sgr A*). We have shown that the magnetic interaction parameter responsible for circular orbits decreases for negative values of the Gauss-Bonnet parameter $α$ and the range where magnetized particle's stable circular orbits are allowed increases for the positive values of the parameter $α$. The study of the collisions of magnetized, charged and neutral particles has shown that the center-of-mass energy of the particles increases in the presence of positive Gauss-Bonnet parameter. Finally, we show how the magnetic interaction and Gauss-Bonnet parameter may mimic the effect of rotation of the Kerr black hole giving the same ISCO radius for magnetized particles. Detailed analysis of the ISCO show that spin of Kerr black hole can not be mimicked by the effects of magnetic interaction and the Gauss-Bonnet parameters when $α<-4.37$ and the spin parameter $a > 0.237$.

We show that the solutions do not describe rotating sources but must be interpreted, similarly to the NUT case, as deformed sources endowed with a gravitomagnetic charge. We show that the Halilsoy family is directly linked to the NUT space-time, which can be obtained in the limit of vanishing deformations. We investigate the motion of test particles and photons in this class of space-times, in particular the innermost stable circular orbits and photon capture radius. Finally we show that this class of solutions possesses a sub-manifold where closed time-like curves are allowed.

We study spherically symmetric magnetically charged generic black hole solutions of general relativity coupled to non-linear electrodynamics (NED). For characteristic values of the generic spacetime parameters we give the position of horizons in dependence on the charge parameter, demonstrating separation of the black hole and no-horizon solutions, and possibility of existence of solutions containing three horizons. We show that null, weak and strong energy conditions are violated when the outer horizon is approaching the center. We study effective potentials for photons and massive test particles and location of circular photon orbits (CPO) and innermost stable circular orbit (ISCO). We show that the unstable photon orbit can become stable, leading to the possibility of photon capture which affects on silhouette of the central object. The position of ISCO approaches the horizon with increasing charge parameter q and the energy at ISCO decreases with increasing charge parameter. We investigate this phenomenon and summarize for a variety of the generic spacetime parameters the upper estimate on the spin parameter of the Kerr black which can be mimicked by the generic charged black hole solutions.

We present a dynamical toy model for an expanding universe inside a black hole. The model is built by matching a spherically symmetric collapsing matter cloud to an expanding Friedmann-Robertson-Walker universe through a phase transition that occurs in the quantum-gravity dominated region, here modeled with semi-classical corrections at high density. The matching is performed on a space-like hyper-surface identified by the co-moving time at which quantum-gravity induced effects halt collapse. The purpose of the model is to suggest a possible reconciliation between the observation that black holes are well described by the classical solutions and the fact that the theoretical resolution of space-time singularities leads to a bounce for the collapsing matter.

We study the behavior of light in the presence of plasma by considering different distributions: uniform plasma, singular isothermal sphere, non-singular isothermal gas sphere, and plasma in a galaxy cluster. We found that the dragging of the inertial system along with the boosted parameter $Λ$ affect the value of the deflection angle. As an application, we studied the magnification for both uniform and singular isothermal distributions.

Using the weak field approximation, we investigate the gravitational lensing effect. Strong dependence of the deflection angle of the light on both the "Hořava" and plasma parameter is explicitly shown. The magnification of image source due to the weak gravitational lensing is given for both the homogeneous and inhomogeneous plasma.

Can the observation of the "shadow" allow us to distinguish a black hole from a more exotic compact object? We study the motion of photons in a class of vacuum static axially-symmetric space-times that is continuously linked to the Schwarzschild metric through the value of one parameter that can be interpreted as a measure of the deformation of the source. We investigate the lensing effect and shadow produced by the source with the aim of comparing the expected image with the shadow of a Schwarzschild black hole. In the context of astrophysical black holes we found that it may not be possible to distinguish an exotic source with small deformation parameter from a black hole. However, as the deformation increases noticeable effects arise. Therefore, the future more precise measurement of the shadow of astrophysical black hole candidates would in principle allow to put constraints on the deviation of the object from spherical symmetry.

Using the Wald method, components of the electromagnetic field in orthonormal basis have been obtained. We explore the charged particle motion around deformed Kerr compact objects in the presence of external asymptotically uniform magnetic fields. Using the Hamilton-Jacobi equation, we obtain the effective potential expression for the charged particle surrounding a quasi-Kerr compact object immersed in an external magnetic field. It is also derived the dependence of innermost stable circular orbits (ISCOs) from the magnetic and deformation parameters for charged particles motion around a rotating quasi-Kerr compact object. Comparison with ISCO radius measurements has provided the constraint to the deformation parameter as $ε\gtrsim -0.012$. The center of mass (CM) energy of the colliding particles in several physically interesting cases has been studied.

We consider the electromagnetic field occurring in the background of a static, axially symmetric vacuum solution of Einstein's field equations immersed in an external magnetic field. The solution, known as the $γ$ metric (or Zipoy-Voorhees), is related to the Schwarzschild spacetime through a real positive parameter $γ$ that describes its departure from spherical symmetry. We study the motion of charged and uncharged particles in this spacetime and particle collision in the vicinity of the singular surface and compare with the corresponding result for Schwarzschild. We show that there is a sharp contrast with the black hole case; in particular, in the prolate case ($γ<1$) particle collision can occur with an arbitrarily high center of mass energy. This mechanism could in principle allow one to distinguish such a source from a black hole.

We study scalar perturbations and quasinormal modes of a nonlinear magnetic charged black hole surrounded by quintessence. Time evolution of scalar perturbations is studied for different parameters associated with the black hole solution. We also study the reflection and transmission coefficients along with absorption cross-section for the considered black hole spacetime. It was shown that the real part of quasinormal frequency increases with increase in nonlinear magnetic charge while the module of the imaginary part of the frequency decreases. The analysis of the perturbations with changing quintessential parameter $c$ showed that perturbations with high values of $c$ become unstable.

We found that the existence of the outer horizon is constrained by the values of the charge $Q$. Furthermore, we found that the ergo-region increases when both the charge $Q$ and the spin parameter $a$ are increased. On the other hand, regarding equatorial circular orbits, we studied the limit given by the static radius on the existence of circular geodesics, the photon circular geodesics, and the innermost stable circular orbits (ISCO). We show that photon circular orbits do not depend strongly on $Q$, and $r_{ISCO}$ is constrained by the values of charge.

The exact analytical solutions for vacuum electromagnetic fields of slowly rotating magnetized compact stars in conformal gravity have been studied. Taking the realistic dipolar magnetic field configuration for the star, analytical solutions of the Maxwell equations for the near zone magnetic and the electric fields exterior to a slowly rotating magnetized relativistic star in conformal gravity are obtained. In addition, the dipolar electromagnetic radiation and energy losses from the rotating magnetized compact star in conformal gravity have been studied. With the aim to find observational constraints on the $L$ parameter of conformal gravity, the theoretical results for the electromagnetic radiation from the rotating magnetized relativistic star in conformal gravity have been combined with the precise observational data on the radio pulsars periods slow down and it is estimated that the upper limit i.e. the maximum value of the parameter of conformal gravity is less than $L \lesssim 9.5 \times 10^5\textrm{cm}$ ($L/M \lesssim 5$).
