The scaling limit of the volume of loop O(n) quadrangulations
Abstract: We study the volume of rigid loop-$O(n)$ quadrangulations with a boundary of length $2p$ in the critical non-generic regime. We prove that, as the half-perimeter $p$ goes to infinity, the volume scales in distribution to an explicit random variable. This limiting random variable is described in terms of the multiplicative cascades of Chen, Curien and Maillard arXiv:1702.06916, or alternatively (in… ▽ More

The stochastic Jacobi flow
Abstract: The problem of conditioning on the occupation field was investigated for the Brownian motion in 1998 independently by Aldous [4] and Warren and Yor [34] and recently for the loop soup at intensity $1/2$ by Werner [35], Sabot and Tarrès [30], and Lupu, Sabot and Tarrès [22]. We consider this problem in the case of the Brownian loop soup on the real line, and show that it is connected with a fl… ▽ More

Multiplicative chaos of the Brownian loop soup
Abstract: We construct a measure on the thick points of a Brownian loop soup in a bounded domain D of the plane with given intensity $θ>0$, which is formally obtained by exponentiating the square root of its occupation field. The measure is constructed via a regularisation procedure, in which loops are killed at a fix rate, allowing us to make use of the Brownian multiplicative chaos measures previously con… ▽ More

An infinite-dimensional representation of the Ray-Knight theorems
Abstract: The classical Ray-Knight theorems for Brownian motion determine the law of its local time process either at the first hitting time of a given value a by the local time at the origin, or at the first hitting time of a given position b by Brownian motion. We extend these results by describing the local time process jointly for all a and all b, by means of stochastic integral with respect to an appro… ▽ More

Cluster explorations of the loop soup on a metric graph related to the Gaussian free field
Abstract: We consider the loop soup at intensity ${1\over 2}$ conditioned on having local time $0$ on a set of vertices with positive occupation field in their vicinities. We give a relation between this loop soup and the usual loop soup conditioned on its local times. We deduce a domain Markov property for the loop soup, in the vein of the discrete Markov property proved by Werner: when exploring a cluster… ▽ More

Path decompositions of perturbed reflecting Brownian motions
Abstract: We are interested in path decompositions of a perturbed reflecting Brownian motion (PRBM) at the hitting times and at the minimum. Our study relies on the loop soups developed by Lawler and Werner [10] and Le Jan [13]-[14], in particular on a result discovered by Lupu [15] identifying the law of the excursions of the PRBM above its past minimum with the loop measure of Brownian bridges.

Growth-fragmentation process embedded in a planar Brownian excursion
Abstract: The aim of this paper is to present a self-similar growth-fragmentation process linked to a Brownian excursion in the upper half-plane $\mathbb{H}$, obtained by cutting the excursion at horizontal levels. We prove that the associated growth-fragmentation is related to one of the growth-fragmentation processes introduced by Bertoin, Budd, Curien and Kortchemski.

Points of infinite multiplicity of planar Brownian motion: measures and local times
Abstract: It is well-known (see Dvoretzky, Erd{\H o}s and Kakutani [8] and Le Gall [12]) that a planar Brownian motion $(B_t)_{t\ge 0}$ has points of infinite multiplicity, and these points form a dense set on the range. Our main result is the construction of a family of random measures, denoted by $\{{\mathcal M}_{\infty}^α\}_{0< α<2}$, that are supported by the set of the points of infinite multiplicity.… ▽ More

Large deviations for level sets of branching Brownian motion and Gaussian free fields
Abstract: We study deviation probabilities for the number of high positioned particles in branching Brownian motion, and confirm a conjecture of Derrida and Shi (2016). We also solve the corresponding problem for the two-dimensional discrete Gaussian free field. Our method relies on an elementary inequality for inhomogeneous Galton-Watson processes.

Large deviations for power-law thinned Levy processes
Abstract: This paper deals with the large deviations behavior of a stochastic process called thinned Levy process. This process appeared recently as a stochastic-process limit in the context of critical inhomogeneous random graphs. The process has a strong negative drift, while we are interested in the rare event of the process being positive at large times. To characterize this rare event, we identify a ti… ▽ More

Speed of the biased random walk on a Galton--Watson tree
Abstract: We give an expression of the speed of the biased random walk on a Galton--Watson tree. In the particular case of the simple random walk, we recover the result of Lyons, Pemantle and Peres \cite{LyPePe95}. The proof uses a description of the invariant distribution of the environment seen from the particle.

The branching Brownian motion seen from its tip
Abstract: It has been conjectured since the work of Lalley and Sellke (1987) that the branching Brownian motion seen from its tip (e.g. from its rightmost particle) converges to an invariant point process. Very recently, it emerged that this can be proved in several different ways (see e.g. Brunet and Derrida, 2010, Arguin et al., 2010, 2011). The structure of this extremal point process turns out to be a P… ▽ More

The precise tail behavior of the total progeny of a killed branching random walk
Abstract: Consider a branching random walk on the real line with a killing barrier at zero: starting from a nonnegative point, particles reproduce and move independently, but are killed when they touch the negative half-line. The uniform measure on a Galton-Watson tree without the XlogX condition
Abstract: We consider a Galton--Watson tree with offspring distribution $ν$ of finite mean. The uniform measure on the boundary of the tree is obtained by putting mass $1$ on each vertex of the $n$-th generation and taking the limit $n\to \infty$. In the case $E[ν\ln(ν)]<\infty$, this measure has been well studied, and it is known that the Hausdorff dimension of the measure is equal to $\ln(m)$ (\cite{hawke… ▽ More

Convergence in law of the minimum of a branching random walk
Abstract: We consider the minimum of a super-critical branching random walk. Addario-Berry and Reed [Ann. Probab. 37 (2009) 1044-1079] proved the tightness of the minimum centered around its mean value. We show that a convergence in law holds, giving the analog of a well-known result of Bramson [Mem. Weak convergence for the minimal position in a branching random walk: a simple proof
Abstract: Consider the boundary case in a one-dimensional super-critical branching random walk. It is known that upon the survival of the system, the minimal position after $n$ steps behaves in probability like ${3\over 2} \log n$ when $n\to \infty$. We give a simple and self-contained proof of this result, based exclusively on elementary properties of sums of i.i.d. real-valued random variables.

Tail asymptotics for the total progeny of the critical killed branching random walk
Abstract: We consider a branching random walk on $\mathbb{R}$ with a killing barrier at zero. At criticality, the process becomes eventually extinct, and the total progeny $Z$ is therefore finite. We show that the tail distribution of $Z$ displays a typical behaviour in $(n\ln^2(n))^{-1}$, which confirms the prediction of Addario-Berry and Broutin.

Transient Random Walks in Random Environment on a Galton-Watson Tree
Abstract: We consider a transient random walk $(X_n)$ in random environment on a Galton--Watson tree. Under fairly general assumptions, we give a sharp and explicit criterion for the asymptotic speed to be positive. As a consequence, situations with zero speed are revealed to occur. In such cases, we prove that $X_n$ is of order of magnitude $n^Λ$, with $Λ\in (0,1)$. We also show that the linearly edge re… ▽ More
